MAPLE GLAZED SALMON FILLETS



Maple Glazed Salmon Fillets image

Found this recipe in All*You Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds simple and delicious. I would use fresh garlic as I always have that around instead of garlic powder.

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
24 ounces salmon fillets
salt
chopped chives

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick foil. In a small bowl, stir together maple syrup, mustard and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Place salmon, skin side down, on lined baking sheet; sprinkle lightly with salt and brush with maple syrup mixture. Bake until fish is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Top with chopped chives or green onions.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup soy sauce
24 ounces skinned salmon fillet
1/4 cup freshly ground black pepper
vegetable or canola oil

Steps:

  • Cut salmon into bite-size cubes. Combine maple syrup and soy sauce in a medium-size bowl and add salmon, making sure the fish is fully immersed in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Grease a sheet of aluminum foil with the oil (vegetable oil sprays work well). Preheat oven to 500°F. Put pepper in small bowl or plate and dip top of salmon pieces into pepper. Place each peppered piece on foil, then cook in oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately.

Delicious maple-glazed salmon is a little on the sweet side, but not too much. The whole house smells wonderful when this is cooking; it's a great warm winter meal! I have a hard time finding good recipes my family likes with fish, since my husband is not fond of lemon. This is a perfect compromise!

½ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Mix maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, dill, garlic salt, and pepper together in a small bowl.
  • Place salmon in a shallow baking dish and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover dish and marinate salmon in the refrigerator, turning once, about 30 minutes.
  • Bake salmon, uncovered, in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 25 minutes.

1 small onion, sliced
1 1/2-pound salmon fillet
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°. Mix apples and onion in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 11x7x1 1/2 inches. Place fish, skin side down, on apple mixture. Mix mustard, honey and garlic salt. Spoon onto fish; spread evenly.
  • Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Serve apple mixture with fish.
