MANGO SMOOTHIE RECIPE WITH GREEN TEA



Mango Smoothie Recipe with Green Tea image

A perky mango smoothie made with green tea to start your day off on the right foot!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 ripe mangoes (or 2 cups frozen mango)
1 cup boiling water
2 green tea bags
2 cups ice
1/2 frozen banana
honey (optional)

Steps:

  • Add the tea bags to the hot water, then place in the freezer to cool while you are preparing the rest of the smoothie.
  • Peel the mangoes, remove the pit, and place the flesh in the blender. Add the ice, one half of a frozen banana, and 1 tablespoon of honey if you like.
  • Then remove the tea from the freezer and discard the tea bags. Pour the tea in the blender, cover, and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.

1 1/2 cups brewed and fully chilled green tea
1 1/2 cups (8.5 oz) frozen diced mangos
2 medium ripe bananas
2 cups (2.5 oz) packed (fresh spinach)
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 small handful fresh mint ((optional, I like it with or without))

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and process until well pureed. Serve immediately.

3 to 4 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the mangoes, tea, lime juice and honey; cover and process until blended. Add frozen yogurt; cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
