These sweet and tangy old-fashioned Lemon Squares are easy to make from scratch with just 10 minutes of prep!

1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, melted
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup confectioners sugar, plus extra for dusting at the end
2 cups granulated sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
4 eggs, at room temperature
6 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup quick oats
1 cup flour
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 (300 ml) can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
1/2 cup realemon brand lemon juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F (325F if using a glass dish).
  • In medium bowl, combine oats, flour, coconut, nuts, sugar, baking powder, and butter. Stir to a crumbly mixture. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine milk and lemon juice.
  • Pat 1/2 of crumb mixture evenly in bottom of pan. Spread milk mixture over and sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool thoroughly before serving.

1 can sweetend condensed milk
1/2 cup lemon juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. In a bowl combine oats, flour, coconut, nuts, sugar, baking powder and butter, mix until crumbly. Combine sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice. Pat 1/2 mixture evenly on bottom of 9x9 pan. Spread milk mixture and sprinkle the remaining crumbs. Bake 25-30 minutes.
