" LUCK'A'DOODLES" DOG TREATS



A great dog treat named after a nickname my old dog Lucky was called. These are super easy to make and dogs love them. Even safe if you would like to try them too.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 tablespoons corn oil
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup water
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups white flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine oil, peanut butter and water
  • Add Flour 1 cup at a time
  • Knead into firm dough.
  • Roll dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut with small bone shaped cookie cutter or any fun shape
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Keep leftovers in an airtight container or a large plastic bag.

Homemade Dog Treats (Tango's Treats) image

My dogs--especially my puppy, Tango Foxtrot--loved carrots, apples, and peanut butter. So, for his first birthday, I combined Tango's favorite flavors into a special treat just for him. Make sure to use a natural peanut butter that does not contain added salt, sugar, or other ingredients. Keep extra treats stored in the fridge.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 ¼ cups grated carrots
1 ¼ cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup grated apple
½ cup natural peanut butter
2 eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix carrots, oats, and apple together in a large bowl. Whisk peanut butter and eggs until thoroughly combined in a second bowl. Pour into the oat mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Drop 1 1/2 tablespoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each treat with your hands until they are 1/2-inch thick.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until treats are firm to the touch and begin to brown on the bottom, 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool a few minutes on the baking sheets before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
