Keto Tahini Mustard Salad Dressing Recipe image

This dressing comes together in just a few minutes and uses very few ingredients that are simple to find in most kitchens. Tahini gives this vinaigrette a deliciously nutty flavour with a luxurious texture. Store upto 2 weeks or use immediately!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 Cup Olive oil
1/4 cup White wine vinegar
1 tbsp Tahini
1/2 tbsp Mustard
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
  • Whisk gently to blend together.
  • Use Immediately or store in a small glass bottle.

The potent combination of tahini, garlic and lemon that is so beloved throughout the Mediterranean and Middle East also makes a fantastic salad dressing when sweetened with a touch of honey. But no need to stop there - the creamy dressing is also delicious on grilled fish, roast chicken, steamed vegetables, grain bowls and more. There may be a point when you're whisking in the tahini that the sauce seems to seize or thicken. Don't worry - it will smooth out again once you begin to whisk in the water.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
1 clove garlic, mashed into a paste
1/2 cup well-stirred tahini
1/4 to 1/3 cup cold water
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Pinch ground cayenne pepper
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Whisk together the lemon juice, honey and garlic paste in a medium bowl. Gradually whisk in the tahini. Whisk in the water a little at a time until the sauce is smooth, creamy and has the consistency of cold heavy cream. Whisk in the cumin, cayenne and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Taste add more salt if desired.

  • Add the cold water, and whisk again. The dressing should become remarkably creamy. Taste, and add more lemon juice (for zing) and pepper, if desired. If your dressing is too thick to drizzle, whisk in more cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Serve!
  • This dressing will keep well in the refrigerator, covered, for about 1 week. It may thicken with time; simply thin it with a little more cool water as needed.
