ORANGE CREAM CHEESE BREAD
I stumbled upon this recipe on line and thought it sounded yummy. I think this would be great with toasted english walnuts and cranberries too. Can't wait to try this!

Steps:
- Combine cream cheese and shortening, creaming well.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.
- Stir in walnuts and orange peel.
- Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 3 inch loaf pans.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 mintues. Then sprinkle orange juice over loaves. Remove to wire rack to finish cooling.
ORANGE CREAM CHEESE BREAD
This orange quick bread reminds us of a super-rich pound cake with a subtle orange flavor. The loaf is super moist and tender - almost has a creamy texture. Nuts add a little texture and feel free to add more if you love nutty bread. Drizzling orange juice on the top crust was our favorite part.

APPLE CREAM CHEESE BREAKFAST BARS
Amazing, tasty recipe that is a real crowd pleaser! The crust was really good, I wouldn't have thought it would taste so chewy with the ingredients used but it was! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

- Preheat oven to 350. Combine cake mix and 1/4 tsp lemon peel in a large bowl, reserving 1/2 cup of the mixture; set aside.
- Add butter to remaining mixture and beat with electric mixer at low speed until crumbly.
- Press mixture onto bottom and up sides of ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Beat cream cheese and reserved 1/2 cup cake mix in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Gradually add 1/2 cup of sugar, beating until creamy. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition.
- Blend in half and half and vanilla, pour into baked crust.
- Combine 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining 1/4 tsp lemon peel in large bowl; add apples. Gently toss until evenly coated.
- Spoon apple mixture over cream cheese batter, sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely on wire rack and then cut into bars.

APRICOT-ORANGE BREAD
I was looking for some relatively healthy baking recipes, and someone pointed me in the direction of this one. It is low in saturated fat and cholesterol.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350º F. Lightly oil two 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Cook apricots in water in a covered medium-size saucepan for 10-15 minutes or until tender but not mushy. Drain; reserve 3/4 cup liquid. Set apricots aside to cool.
- Cream together margarine and sugar. By hand, beat in egg and orange peel.
- Sift together flour, dry milk, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with reserved apricot liquid and orange juice.
- Stir apricot pieces and pecans into batter.
- Turn batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until bread springs back when lightly touched in center.
- Cool 5 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and completely cool on wire rack before slicing.

FRUIT AND CREAM CHEESE BREAKFAST PASTRY
Sweet pastry treat for a quick Breakfast! They'll think you bought it from a Pastry chef! Can be made the night before, and baked the next day!

Steps:
- Open crescent roll dough and spread 1 can and a 1/2 onto a non stick 9x13 cookie sheet.
- Reserve 1/2 a can for lattice (the topping).
- Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough.
- Next spread, on top of the cheese, the pie filling.
- Using the 1/2 can of leftover dough, cut it into strips and stretch across the pastry in a lattice design from one corner to the other over lapping like the top of a pie.
- Melt butter and brush over the lattice dough and edges of the pastry.
- Bake in a 350° preheated oven for 20- 25 minutes, or until crescent dough is golden brown.
- Let stand for 5 minutes and slice.
- I tried using peach pie filling once, but I ended up having to use 2 cans to have enough peaches to cover the top. It cost a little more but it was Delicious!
- Great with Coffee or a large glass of Milk!

ZUCCHINI MANDARIN ORANGE BREAD
Delicious recipe I got from my cousin. Very moist and flavorful. I like it warm with butter or whipped cream cheese. Another great way to use zucchini.

- Grease 2 loaf pans, 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 2-1/2-inch.
- Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
- Remove to a wire rack to cool.
- After 10 minutes of cooling, remove from loaf pans.
- Continue to cool completely on wire rack.
