I love the Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour! It is excellent with chicken but can be used on pork chops, to make gravy, cream soups, sauces and the list goes on.

2 Tablespoons Butter Melted
4 Pork Loin Chops
1 Egg Beaten
2 Tablespoons Milk
1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper Ground
1 Cup Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour

Steps:

  • 1. In a shallow dish combine egg, melted butter, milk and ground black pepper. 2. Place Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour in another shallow dish. 3. Dip pork chops into egg mixture. 4. Dip pork chops into flour, covering both sides. 5. Place in 13x19x2-inch baking pan. 6. Bake, uncovered, in a 425(F) degree oven for 10 minutes. Turn chops. 7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes more or until done (160F degrees) and juices run clear.

This simple preparation is perfect for a weeknight -- just shake and bake!

1 1/2 cups panko
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Four 3/4-inch bone-in pork chops (about 2 1/4 pounds)
Lemon wedges, for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Combine the panko, oil, Parmesan, Italian seasoning and 3/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Put the pork chops in a large bowl and toss to coat with 1 tablespoon water. Place the pork chops in the bag and shake well to coat, pressing the breadcrumb mixture firmly into the meat.
  • Place the pork chops on a wire rack set on a baking sheet and top evenly with any breadcrumbs remaining in the bag. Bake until the breadcrumbs are dark golden and the internal temperature of the chops registers 145 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer (avoid touching bone), 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges if using.

Since reverse-engineering KFC's 'Colonel's Secret Original Recipe Seasoning', I've discovered the best pork chop ever -- one made with my Recipe #453973. Upon a few trials I decided I like boneless 3/4-inch to 1-inch thick top loin pork chops best for this recipe. So tender, so tasty... I'm sure 'The Colonel' himself would say "Mmm, these are finger-lickin' good!".

6 boneless 3/4-inch to 1-inch thick top loin pork chops
4 cups water
1 tablespoon unseasoned meat tenderizer
1/2 teaspoon Accent seasoning (optional)
1 cup pre-sifted all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons seasoning (Bulk KFC Original Recipe Seasoning (Copycat))
vegetable oil

Steps:

  • NOTES: FOR LOWER SODIUM PORK CHOPS YOU MAY SOAK THEM IN BUTTERMILK OVERNIGHT INSTEAD OF BRINING. IF YOU WISH TO MAKE GRAVY, FOLLOW Recipe #422335 OR THE RECIPE IN Recipe #487767. (STEP ONE): RINSE fresh or naturally-thawed 3/4-1-inch thick boneless top loin pork chops and blot.
  • MIX the TENDERIZING BRINE ingredients together in a large resealable container until dissolved: 4 cups water, 1 tablespoon unseasoned meat tenderizer, and 1/2 teaspoon Accent seasoning; ADD pork chops to brine; TRANSFER container to refrigerator; MARINATE pork chops between 4-36 hours in refrigerator, turning chicken as needed (marinate 36 hours for the most tender, flavorful pork chops).
  • INTO a large resealable container or Ziploc bag, add 1 level cup all-purpose flour and 3 level tablespoons Recipe #453973; SEAL the container; SHAKE mixture well until thoroughly combined.
  • FILL a large bowl with very warm water; REMOVE pork chops from marinade with tongs; SOAK chops in very warm water a minute.
