TASTY BUNS
Excellent yeast buns that can be used for hamburgers or just plain dinner rolls. They don't take long to make and have never failed for me!

Steps:
- Stir together 2 cups flour and the yeast. In a separate bowl, heat milk, water, oil, sugar and salt to lukewarm in microwave. Add all at once to the flour mixture, and beat until smooth, about 3 minutes.
- Mix in enough flour to make a soft dough, 2 to 3 cups. Mix well. Dust a flat surface with flour, turn dough out onto floured surface, and let rest under bowl for about 10 minutes.
- Shape dough into 12 slightly flat balls, and place on greased baking sheet to rise until doubled in size.
- Bake in a preheated 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes.

JAKE'S BUNS
This is the recipe I normally use for buns & cinnamon rolls. You can use either warm or cold liquid. If you use cold it will take a little longer for your dough to rise. I turn the oven light on & let my dough rise in there.You will end up with about 5 lbs of dough. This will be enough to make 40 - 2 oz dinner buns, or 24 - 2 oz dinner buns & a dozen fairly large cinnamon rolls. I use my Kitchen Aid mixer so I don't have to knead the dough. I use a scale when making my buns, then I am assured of getting a uniform size. While this is a bit more time consuming than some recipes, the end results are worth it. This is the dough that I use for my cinnamon rolls Recipe #447349 .

Steps:
- Beat 1st seven ingredients together.
- Beat in 6 cups of flour, 1 cup at a time, & the yeast.
- Change to dough hook and add last 3 cups of flour.
- Mix well, till you get a nice dough ball.
- Let rest 5 minutes.
- Knead 2 minutes.
- Let rise in oiled, covered bowl, in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- Punch down & let rise 2 more times, for a total of 1 hour rising time.
- Form buns and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
- Cover & let rise 30 minutes, or till doubled.
- Bake at 350°, for 20 minutes.
- Brush tops with butter while still hot.

JAKE'S CINNAMON ROLLS
We loved the cinnamon rolls we would get at Cinnabon. Unfortunately we no longer have a location here. I had watched them making the cinnamon rolls and they had a cinnamon/sugar/butter mixture already made up that they would spread on the dough. While I am sure they had some "secret" ingredient in there I came up with something that works quite well. I had only used 1 Tbsp of cinnamon in the batch I made for the pictures. I prefer more cinnamon so do use up to 2 Tbsp. I just use my regular bun dough, but you can use a sweeter dough if you prefer. Feel free to frost these with cream cheese icing. Please ignore the stats for this recipe. They have been calculated using 2 lbs of yeast, not 2 lbs of yeast dough. This is not a high fiber or high protein recipe.

Steps:
- Cream butter, sugar, syrup & cinnamon for filling.
- Roll or pat dough into a 12 x 18 rectangle.
- Spread filling over dough.
- Roll up from long side.
- Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place in lightly greased or parchment lined baking pan.
- Cover & let rise 1 hour, or till dough is doubled in size.
- Bake at 350 for 25 - 30 minutes.
- Invert pan on parchment covered cookie sheet & cool on wire rack.
