ITALIAN SEASONING MIX (SALT FREE)

Italian Seasoning Mix (salt free) image

This is the recipe I keep on hand and use in many dishes...Italian or not. Most recipes I found call for Marjoram. I always forget to pick it up so my recipe does not use it. I also don't add salt but feel free to use them in yours. And as always adjust to fit your taste.

Provided by Em Marz

Categories     Dressings

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 c dried basil
1/4 c each garlic powder, onion powder and oregano
1/8 c each dried thyme and parsley
2 Tbsp each dried rosemary and sage
large pinch red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients in an oversized air tight container. Shake vigorously to mix. (I use old clean jelly or pickle jars.) Store as you would other herbs and spices.

ITALIAN SEASONING I

Italian Seasoning I image

Excellent seasoning for all recipes that call for italian seasoning, I like to use it for just about everything Italian or not! Store in an airtight container; it keeps for about 12 weeks. You can use fresh herbs you dry yourself, or store bought dried herbs - of course, the ones you grow and dry yourself are better!
