Whip up the ultimate crowd-friendly snack with this recipe for Homemade Chex Mix that can be made in a slow cooker or baked in an oven.

8 cups Chex cereal
2 cups Cheerios cereal
2 cups pretzels
1 cup walnuts
1 cup roasted, unsalted peanuts
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
2 Tablespoons smoked paprika
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
1 Tablespoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

Combine Chex cereal, Cheerios cereal, pretzels, walnuts and peanuts in a large bowl.
In a small saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
Pour the spice mix over the dry ingredients and toss to evenly coat.

3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
3 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
2 cups Wheat Chex™ cereal
2 cups bite-size pretzels
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

In oval 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together cereals and pretzels.
In small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce and spices with whisk until well combined. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Cook uncovered on High heat setting 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.
Spread cereal mixture on ungreased cookie sheet or sheet of waxed paper. Cool 3 to 5 minutes before serving.

To the melted butter (make sure it's still hot!), add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika (if using). Whisk until seasonings have dissolved into the hot butter mixture.
Pour butter mixture over the top of the chex mixture (as evenly as you can), then use a rubber spatula to gently toss everything together. Mix it well, so the butter mixture is evenly distributed through the chex mix.
Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, stirring every hour, and at least twice during the last hour to prevent burning or scorching.
