We loved this on Papa's Chocolate cake. We did find that it was initially lumpy even though we sifted the dry ingredients first. An extra 20 minutes in the mixer fixed that problem. It poured onto the cake like a ganache- but not so rich- and very easy! The original recipe came from the back of the Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Can.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, melted
2/3 cup cocoa powder (use Hersheys Special Dark Cocoa)
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

In a large mixing bow, add melted butter and then stir in cocoa at low speed.
Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency (This may take some time in the mixer as ours is always lumpy for a while).
Stir in vanilla. Add small amount additional milk, if needed to spread easily. We like it to pour on like a ganache!

Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
