SOAPSTONE WOODSTOVE - HEARTHSTONE HOMESTEAD - HOMESTEADING FORUM
Web Feb 21, 2008 Jolly. We put in the Hearthstone Homestead last fall after using a cast Kingsman for 20+ year. Like it from the standpoint of glass doors, heat retention of the soapstone along with having coals in the morning. We both work so we were use to a quick hot fire in the evening and then didn't start a fire in the morning.

HEARTHSTONE HERITAGE -- NOT ENOUGH AIR? CANT BURN HOT FIRE!
Web Dec 4, 2011 Is this normal?? It never double burns on the top unless I let the door stay open and close it, and even that will disappear after 30 seconds. I bought this used, the previous owner looked like he never used the thing so it's basically brand new. He had an outside air kit hooked up. I do not have it hooked up to outside air.
