1 cup tomato sauce
2 tablespoons harissa
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic paste
½ teaspoon caraway seeds
½ teaspoon ground coriander

Steps:

  • Combine tomato sauce, harissa, olive oil, garlic paste, caraway seeds, and coriander in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.n
  • Simmer until sauce has started to thicken, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 15 minutes for flavors to develop.n

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 red onion, diced
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
Olive oil
2 roasted red peppers, peeled, seeded and stemmed
2 oven roasted tomatoes (plum tomatoes, cut in half and baked in 200 degree oven with olive oil, salt, and pepper for about 6 hours)
1 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch ground cloves
Salt and pepper
Fresh chopped mint

Steps:

  • Saute onion and garlic in 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Let cool. Mix all ingredients in food processor and serve at room temperature with fish.

1 1/4 cups cider vinegar
1/2 cup unsulfured molasses
1 to 2 tablespoons harissa (North African chili sauce)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, 20 to 30 minutes. Sauce can be refrigerated 1 day.
