Since this sandwich ring uses convenient crescent rolls, it takes little fuss to prepare. I like to fix it for a Sunday evening meal when our son comes to visit. It makes a great appetizer for a party, too. -Janet Dishong, Manheim, Pennsylvania

2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1-1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 pound boneless fully cooked ham, cubed
2-1/4 cups chopped fresh broccoli
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Unroll crescent roll dough and place triangles on a 12-in. pizza pan, forming a ring with pointed ends facing outer edge of pan and wide ends overlapping. Lightly press wide ends together. , In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; spoon over wide ends of rolls. Fold points over filling and tuck under wide ends (filling will be visible). , Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine, softened
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons onion flakes
2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
6 ounces shredded swiss cheese
1 cup chopped broccoli, cooked
1 cup diced ham, cooked
8 ounces Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix butter, parsley, onion, mustard, and lemon juice.
  • Add cheese, broccoli, and ham. Set aside.
  • Separate dough into 8 triangles.
  • On a greased cookie sheet, arrange dough in a circular fashion with the bases overlapping.
  • Spoon filling in a ring over the bases of the triangles.
  • Fold triangles over the filling and tuck the tip into the base.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

I saw a recipe for a buffalo chicken ring and decided to change it up. I think you could put just about anything inside crescent rolls and it will be good. This is great as an appetizer, and I have also made it as a main dish.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 lb quality deli ham, chopped
4 ounces shredded swiss cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tubes crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Combine all ingredients (except rolls) in a bowl. I use an electric mixer to get it well blended.
  • Open the crescent tubes and separate each roll into 4 rectangles. On a parchment lined or nonstick baking sheet lay the rectangles out to form a circle. There are images here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/121034308711924287/.
  • Place filling in a ring shape on top of the dough circle. Fold the dough over to cover the filling.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until crescent dough looks done.

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped fully cooked ham
3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Arrange crescent rolls on a 13-in. round pizza pan, forming a ring with wide ends overlapping and pointed ends facing the outer edge of pan. , In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in butter for 8 minutes or until juices are absorbed. Add remaining ingredients; stir well. Spoon over wide ends of rolls. Fold points of rolls over filling and tuck under wide ends at center (filling with be visible). , Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

¼ pound cooked ham, coarsely chopped
¼ pound fresh broccoli, chopped
1 bunch fresh green onions, chopped
½ cup chopped fresh parsley
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon-style prepared mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, toss together ham, chopped broccoli, onion, parsley, and Swiss cheese. Stir in lemon juice and Dijon-style mustard.
  • On a 13-inch stone or baking sheet, arrange crescent triangles in a circle with bases overlapping in center and points to the outside. There should be a 3-inch diameter circle in center. Spoon the filling evenly over the crescent rolls. Fold points of triangle over filling and tuck under base at center. Filling will not be completely covered.

This was one of my dh's favourite dishes, when we were first married, it was a great way to use up leftover roast beef with Pillsbury crescents dough. It's tasty, quick and easy to make and best of all it looks like it took awhile to make. Only you need to know how easy this was.

3 tablespoons sweet white onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sweet red pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup yellow sweet pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup wild mushroom, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups beef, leftovers, diced
1 (8 ounce) package Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
1 tablespoon margarine, softened

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl mix the onion, mustard, parsley, salt, pepper, margarine and lemon juice together and blend well.
  • Add the cheese, colored peppers, mushrooms and the diced beef, mix lightly.
  • Separate the dough into 8 triangles and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Arrange the triangles in a circle with the bases over lapping.
  • The center opening should be about 3 inches in diameter.
  • Points should be towards the outside.
  • Spoon the filling in a ring over bases of triangle.
  • Fold the points of the triangle over the filling and tuck under the base at the center of the circle.
  • When finished it should look like a round ring.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
  • Perfect served with a fresh salad.

8 oz crescent dinner rolls, 2 cans
1 cup mozzarella cheese
½ cup pepperoncinis
¼ cup fresh basil
⅓ lb salami
⅓ lb ham
¼ lb prosciutto
8 slices provolone cheese, halved
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
olive oil, optional, for the dip
balsamic vinegar, optional, for the dip

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
  • Unroll cans of dough, separate into triangles.
  • On a large cookie sheet, place a bowl in the center (about 5 inches [12cm] in diameter). Arrange the triangles in a ring around the bowl, dough should overlap.
  • Layer cheese, pepperoncinis, basil, salami, ham, prosciutto, and provolone on each triangle closest to the ring.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bring the top of the triangle over the filling, and tuck the edges under the bottom layer of dough. Repeat around the ring until the entire filling is enclosed.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Serve with olive oil and balsamic.
  • Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.
