Hot crab dip served in a bread bowl. Perfect for parties!

Number Of Ingredients 7

11 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, finely chopped
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 (1 pound) loaf round, crusty Italian bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. While the dip is baking, cut a circle in the top of the bread, and scoop out the inside to create a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.
  • Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Place bread bowl and chunks of bread on a medium baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained
1/4 cup green onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into the Crock-Pot and stir to combine.
  • Cook for 30 to 60 minutes until melted.
  • Serve with crackers, chips, or sliced vegetables.

1 -2 tablespoon prepared horseradish

  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, picante sauce and horseradish; mix well.
  • Stir in the crab.

1 dash Tabasco sauce
1/8 teaspoon lemon juice
14 ounces crabmeat
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 onion, minced

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix cream cheese with horseradish,Worcestershire,Tabasco,and lemon juice.
  • Gently fold in minced onion and crab.
  • Bake for 30 min or until bubbly and edges start to brown.
  • Serve with pita chips or crackers.

Hot Jalapeno Crab cheese spread. Serve hot with crackers or sliced French bread. For a more Mexican taste, replace lemon juice with lime juice and serve with tortilla chips. A hit at all of my parties. Can make dip a day ahead then bake the day of. Super Easy!

1 green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
1 ½ teaspoons minced jalapeno pepper
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, imitation crab, green onion, garlic, lemon juice, jalapeno and 1 cup shredded cheese. Transfer to an oven safe serving dish, or nice pie plate. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are boiling and cheese has melted in the center.

1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

6 ounces imitation crabmeat, diced

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese until soft and smooth. Blend in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Mix in garlic, onions, and crab meat. Store, covered, in refrigerator until ready to use.
  • To serve warm, heat in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes.
