Steps:
- Place green beans into a large skillet and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans start to soften, about 5 minutes. Drain water. Add butter to green beans; cook and stir until butter is melted, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Cook and stir garlic with green beans until garlic is tender and fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Season with lemon pepper and salt.

- Place beans in 1 inch of water in 2-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
- Heat butter, oregano, garlic and salt in same saucepan over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes. Add beans and olives; toss to coat.

SUNNY'S GREEN GARLIC HERBED BUTTER

- In a food processor, add the parsley, butter, Italian seasoning, garlic, lemon zest and juice, scallions, a nice pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper. Blend until smooth; taste and season with more salt if needed.
- Use on garlic bread, broiled oysters, baked fish, roast chicken, scrambled eggs, lamb, twirled with pasta--just use it, mmmkay?

Steps:
- Add enough water to cover bottom of large fry pan to about 1/4-1/2 inch deep.
- Add cleaned and snapped beans, cook over medium high heat just until tender, about 10 minutes, stirring to cook all evenly. Drain well.
- At the same time in separate skillet, melt butter and saute onion, garlic and celery until softened a bit.
- Add remainder of ingredients, simmer about 7 minutes.
- Toss butter with hot, drained beans. Serve immediately.

GREEN BEANS WITH LEMON-HERB BUTTER
This is a super quick recipe that uses fresh French green beans but would work equally well with frozen. The recipe was printed in Betty Crocker Thansgiving booklet, November 2005. The recipe calls for butter. Please do not sub margarine! The original recipe called for dried marjoram leaves. Not having those I used Penzeys Bouquet Garni with rewarding results.

Steps:
- Place beans in a microwave safe dish, cover and microwave for 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp tender; stirring half way through cooking.
- Drain beans well and return to microwave dish, cover and keep warm.
- In a small saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat until melted and lightly browned.
- Immediately remove the butter from heat, stir in lemon zest, marjoram and salt.
- Pour the butter mixture over beans tossing to coat.
- Garnish with lemon slices.

- Bring salted water to a boil in a large saucepan.
- Add beans, cover, and cook 10-15 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Drain beans and plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain again.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and celery and saute 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and saute 2 minutes more.
- Stir in beans, rosemary, salt, and parsley.
- Saute another 4 minutes or until heated through.
