Greek Spice Blend an easy DIY combination of dried herbs and spices that gives your meals a savory, warm, aromatic, earthy, and sweet flavor, making it a great multi-purpose seasoning mix.

1 tbsp onion flakes
3/4 tsp dried thyme
2 tbsp dried Greek oregano
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp dried dill
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp dried marjoram
1 tbsp dried basil
1 1/2 tbsp dried parsley

Steps:

Mix onion flakes, thyme, oregano, salt, dill, garlic powder, pepper, marjoram, basil and parsley in a small bowl. For a finer texture, blend spices in a spice grinder.
Store in an airtight container.

2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon dill
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Serve with steaks, pork chops, chicken, or fish.
Add to red and white sauces.
Combine all ingredients in blender, grind to a fine powder, and store in an airtight container.

This is one of several "spice mixes" that I've used for years. It makes a wonderful seasoning for poultry or lamb, and can be added to yoghurt or sour cream, etc. for a yummy dressing. Experiment!

2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon grated lemon, rind of
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon ground black pepper

Steps:

Mix together, store in a tightly capped jar.
Use: Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon over each serving of chicken, lamb or shrimp before baking or grilling; or sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon over steamed vegetables.
This spice mix can also be used to make a yummy"Yoghurt and Herb" dressing, by adding a 1/4 teaspoon of the mix, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 Tablespoon olive oil and salt and pepper to 1 cup plain yoghurt.
