APPLE SCRUNCH (APPLE DUMP CAKE)

2 (21-ounce) cans apple pie filling
1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow or butter cake mix
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread the pie filling in the bottom of the prepared dish then sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over. Drizzle the melted butter over the top. Use a butter knife to make a few large swirls to mix some of the ingredients together, but don't over-do it. Sprinkle the pecans over the top then bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden brown and set.

cooking spray
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups white sugar
1 ¼ cups vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart casserole dish lightly with cooking spray.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt into a large bowl. Whisk in sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Fold in apples and walnuts. Spread batter in the prepared casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons of milk
3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup + 2 teaspoons vegetable or canola oil
1 large egg
2 to 3 medium apples (washed, peeled, cored and sliced ( I used Red Delicious and Golden Delicious))
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
1 and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Grease and flour an 8" round springform pan. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

1 1/2 cups salad oil
2 well beaten eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups chopped apples
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons soft butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 cup coconut

Steps:

  • Combine sugar and oil.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Fold in flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Add apples, nuts and raisins.
  • Pour into greased 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 325 for 1 and 1/2 hours.
  • Toothpick in center comes out clean.
  • Cool 20 minutes.
  • Remove from pan; when slightly cooled, glaze.
  • Combine all [glaze ingredients] and spread over warm apple cake.

1 1/2 cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 granny smith apples, peeled,cored and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2/3 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Cream sugar and eggs until thick and pale; sift flour and baking powder together; add flour mixture to creamed mixture in batches, beating until smooth between additions.
  • Pour into greased 9x13 baking dish; place apple slices on top of batter in one layer, overlapping them a bit; drizzle butter over apples.
  • Stir dark brown sugar and cinnamon together and distribute it evenly over the top of the apples.
  • Bake at 350°, 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
