Steps:
- Slice grapefruits in half and squeeze out as much juice as you can into a medium-sized pot. If you don't mind quite a bit of bitterness, throw the squeezed out peels into the pot as well. If doing that, add about another cup of water. Add the cinnamon, sliced ginger and water.
- Bring to a boil then turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and strain to remove the grapefruit peels, if using, and ginger. Let cool to 95° F (35 °C) or lower and stir in the honey (this is to preserve the benefits from raw honey). You can also just add the concentrate to a mug, add water, which will cool down the tea concentrate, and then add your honey.
- Store this concentrate in the fridge and add about a 1/4 of the recipe to a large mug and top with hot water. Add more honey as needed and feel better soon!
GRAPEFRUIT TEA
Categories > Drinks, Gluten Free, Grain Free, Vegetarian Who knew you could make tea from grapefruit? While it's a hydrating, refreshing fruit, citrus is at its peak in winter, so a warming way to enjoy it is kind of brilliant. And with cinnamon and lavender honey? It's a tasty flavor combination you're going to love.

GRAPEFRUIT TEA
This is a recipe from Body & Soul Magazine. My Mom made it for me when I wasn't feeling well. At first sip, I didn't care for it, but by the end of the glass I loved it! Others who have tried it have said the same, at first you wonder; but then it's great. The article said that red/pink grapefruits are high in lycopene and vitamins A and C. They also offer potassium and folate.

GRAPEFRUIT TEA
A nice summery drink for people who like iced tea and citrus juice. It dulls down the bitter tang of the grapefruit a bit and gives you that nice fresh taste that tea-lovers crave.

Steps:
- Drop the teabags into the cold grapefruit juice and let steep for a minimum of 10 minutes, stirring often. The longer it steeps, the more tea flavour it will have.
- If desired, dilute with some water, tonic water, club soda, sprite, or 7-Up, for a less-intense flavour.

GRAPEFRUIT TEA COOKIES
My mother originally made these in her culinary arts class in high school in 1975 and they were made with lemon. I love the lemon but I wanted to make these and realized I didn't have any lemons so I used what I did have, grapefruit. They turned out wonderful! I bet they would be good made with oranges too. The glaze is different from your regular iced cookie with the granulated sugar giving a nice texture on top. Yummy!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
- Mix 1 1/2 teaspoon of grapefruit juice into milk in a small bowl, and set aside for about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, mash the butter with 3/4 cup of sugar until creamy and well combined, and beat in the egg and grapefruit zest until thoroughly combined. Beat the milk into the butter mixture about 2 tablespoons at a time, alternating with the flour mixture, until the dough is smooth. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven until set and very lightly browned, 12 to 14 minutes. Cool on racks.
- Make glaze by mixing 3/4 cup sugar with 1/4 cup grapefruit juice. Brush glaze onto cooled cookies; let stand until glaze is set.
