GRANDMA'S BBQ SAUCE

1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
½ medium onion, diced
¼ cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon chili powder
1 pinch ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix ketchup, water, onion, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, chili powder, and pepper together in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

1 onion, chopped
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
⅛ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Place the oil, ketchup, onion, lemon juice, mustard, hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a medium saucepan over low heat. Mix well and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
