4-1/2 cups boiling water, divided
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Gelatin
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Grape Flavor Gelatin
1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
2/3 cup canned sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 can (8 oz.) pineapple tidbits in juice, drained
1/2 tsp. rum extract
1/4 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Add 1-1/2 cups boiling water to each flavor gelatin mix in separate bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Pour each flavor gelatin into separate 8-inch square pan. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
  • Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients except nuts. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Cut gelatin into 1/2-inch cubes; place in large bowl. Gently stir in milk mixture; sprinkle with nuts.

This cake is made with three layers: Cake, filling, and topping. There are 4 types of milk in the filling and topping (whole milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream). This is an excellent cake for milk lovers!

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup white sugar
5 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whole milk
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.
  • Cream butter or margarine and the 1 cup sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and the 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat well.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture 2 tablespoons at a time; mix until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Pierce cake several times with a fork.
  • Combine the whole milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk together. Pour over the top of the cooled cake.
  • Whip whipping cream, the remaining 1 cup of the sugar, and the remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla together until thick. Spread over the top of cake. Be sure and keep cake refrigerated, enjoy!

4-1/2 tazas de agua hirviendo, cantidad dividida
1 (3 oz) de gelatina sabor fresa JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 (3 oz) de gelatina sabor uva JELL-O Grape Flavor Gelatin
1 lata (5 oz) de leche evaporada
2/3 taza de leche condensada azucarada enlatada
1/2 taza de leche baja en grasa (2%)
1 lata (8 oz) de trocitos de piña en jugo, escurrida
1/2 de extracto de ron
1/4 taza de nueces pecanas picadas

Steps:

  • Mezcla cada una de las gelatinas con 1-1/2 taza de agua hirviendo en recipientes aparte y revuelve durante 2 minutos hasta que estén completamente disueltas. Vierte cada una de las gelatinas por separado en tres moldes cuadrados de 8 pulgadas. Ponlas en la nevera durante 2 horas o hasta que cuajen.
  • Mezcla, entretanto, los ingredientes restantes. Ponlos en la nevera hasta el momento de su uso.
  • Corta la gelatina en cubos de 1/2 pulgada. Colócalos en un tazón grande. Incorpora suavemente la mezcla de leches. Espolvoréalo con las nueces pecanas justo antes de servir.
