This hearty aromatic bread has just a hint of honey and garlic. It's one of my favorite breads. It goes with anything from bologna sandwiches to spaghetti. -Jami Blunt, Hardy, Arkansas

Yield 1 loaf (1-1/2 pounds, 16 slices).

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup water (70° to 80°)
2 tablespoons plus 1-1/2 teaspoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon honey
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed). Freeze option: Securely wrap and freeze cooled loaf in foil and place in resealable plastic freezer bag. To use, thaw at room temperature.

This Bread Machine Parmesan Garlic Bread comes out so moist and flavorful that you can eat it plain, no butter required!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/3 cups water (11 ounces)
1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (The powdery stuff.)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 packet active dry yeast (1/4 oz.)
2 lb. Bread Machine

Steps:

  • Add the water, olive oil, melted butter and minced garlic to the bread pan. I microwaved the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds.
  • Add all of the dry ingredients, except for the yeast, to the bread pan. Finally, make a small depression into the flour with your finger and add the dry yeast to the depression. Make sure you do not allow the yeast to come in contact with any liquids.
  • Select the basic setting on the bread machine and press start. My bread machine took 3 hours and 45 minutes. I also selected the "light" crust option on my bread machine but I normally select "medium". The difference was that the top of the loaf was lighter and softer. You can choose based on your personal crust preference.
  • Once the bread is finished, allow it to cool for 10 minutes.

  • In a small bowl, combine the butter, cheese and garlic powder. Spread mixture over cut sides of bread. Place on an ungreased baking sheet., Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

This is a recipe I came up with myself. It is great with most Italian dishes. It can be doubled as needed.

½ cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
⅛ teaspoon dried basil
⅛ teaspoon dried thyme
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, halved lengthwise

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic salt, rosemary, basil, thyme, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.
  • Spread each half of the French bread with equal portions of the butter mixture. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  • Place bread halves, crusts down, on a medium baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are very lightly browned.

If you want to pinpoint any suspected vampires be sure to have this bread circulating at the next get together, it will do the trick better than Van Helsing. On the other hand if your a true garlic lover this one is for you. It makes a wicked grilled ham and cheese sandwich! The 10 min is just for the measuring and getting it into the machine, after that it's up to you and your bread maker and how you want to finish it. A beautiful braided loaf will take longer to make than letting it bake in the machine of instance.

1 1/4 cups warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil (use the regular kind, save the extra virgin for your salads and dips)

  • If you choose the dough cycle you may shape it anyway you like, bale it on a standard 9x5 bread pan or shape the dough into buns for oven baking.

Tasty, light and fluffy rolls. Can be made smaller for dinner rolls or as sandwich rolls. Crusty outside and soft inside. These pack a great punch when paired with grilled chicken or pulled pork or even steak sandwiches. I even made these for fancy hamburger rolls and received raves for the flavor enhancement of the burger. Adopted from a bread machine recipe I had. Prep time includes putting together and rising time once assembled. Times may change for rising based on altitude and temperature. Prep time does not include dough cycle

1 1/4 cups water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons garlic (can be less, we love garlic)
2 teaspoons dried Italian herb seasoning
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon fast rising yeast

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in bread machine as per directions from your unit.
  • Program to dough cycle, GO!
  • Once done, place dough onto lightly oiled surface and cut into 8 pieces.
  • Shape into balls.
  • Place on greased cookie sheet , flatten slightly.
  • Let rise in warm area until doubled.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F; brush buns with water, sprinkle top with a little bit of cheese, or for change a bit of garlic powder, Italian herbs, or for a kicker spicy herb. Bake 15 min or until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm or cool completely.
  • Can be frozen in double wrapped sealed container bag or ziploc. remember to take out as much air as possible. Good for a month.
  • To reheat: thaw completely and put into warmed oven for homey smells and freshness.

  • In a bowl or food processor, blend butter, oil and Parmesan cheese. Add garlic, parsley and lemon-pepper; mix or process until smooth. , Slice the bread on the diagonal but not all the way through, leaving slices attached at the bottom.
