This recipes comes from a cookbook titled 'Angels and Friends" out of Youngstown, Ohio. I've made this so many times and it is always a hit.

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) can sliced peaches, drain and save juice
1 (16 ounce) can sliced pears, drain and save juice
1 (16 ounce) can black cherries, drained
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple, chunks. drained
2 bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice
1/2 cup almonds, sliced
2 dozen macaroons, crumbled
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sherry wine
1/4 cup reserved fruit juice
1 1/2 cups brown sugar

Steps:

Layer half of the fruit in a 13x9 glass baking dish, top with half of the macaroons, half of the almonds, 1/2 of the brown sugar and dot with 1/2 of the butter. Repeat the layers and top with the sherry and 1/4 cup fruit juice.
Bake at 325* for 40 minutes.

1 shot cherry brandy
Extra dry Champagne
Frozen or jarred Bing cherry, for garnish

Steps:

In a champagne flute, add cherry brandy. Slowly top off with Champagne and garnish with a cherry.

Big bowl of YUM! I can't take credit for this one & can't remember who gave me the recipe. Great for pot-lucks. You may substitute chunk pineapple instead of crushed if you like.

Ingredients

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (6 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drain juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
16 ounces Cool Whip (the large tub)
2 -4 ounces pecan pieces

Steps:

In huge bowl mix all ingredients until blended well. (I'm not crazy about nuts, so I only use a small bit of pecans.).
Variations: add another can of cherry pie filling and/or cocount flakes.
If you can resist, it is best after chilled for a couple of hours.
