FRENCH KISS

Steps:

• Pour equal parts Pernod, vodka, and lemonade into a tall glass over ice.
• Add a splash of black currant liqueur.
• Garnish with a slice of lemon, a few whole cranberries or currants (if available), and/or lightly coat rim with sugar - lightly toasted if desired.
• Enjoy!

FRENCH KISS

Steps:

• Shake all ingredients with ice & strain into a martini glass.
• Garnish with a Hershey's Kiss or a raspberry.

FRENCH KISSES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 300°F.
• Place the egg whites in a glass mixing bowl with the salt.
• Beat until the whites are stiff and slowly add 1 cup of sugar, beating constantly.
• Gently fold in the red food coloring, extract and coconut.
• Do this very slowly to avoid deflating the mixture.
• Drop the mixture from a teaspoon onto a greased and well floured baking sheet (I use ungreased parchment paper).
• Bake about 30 minutes.
• Turn the oven off and let the kisses sit in the oven for 1 1/2 hours.

ARIANE DAGUIN'S FRENCH KISSES AND GASCOGNE SUSHI

Steps:

• Two to three weeks ahead, soak the prunes in Armagnac, checking frequently and adding more Armagnac if necessary (prunes absorb it quickly).
• Place the duck terrine in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until smooth and spreadable (do not overpulse). Reserve 10 tablespoons for the Gascogne sushi and put the rest in a pastry bag fitted with a large tip.
• Pipe the foie gras into prunes (use your finger to make the center larger) to create French kisses.
• For Gascogne sushi, spread 1 tablespoon of mousse onto each duck prosciutto slice and roll up.
