6 pork chops cut into 1 1/2 inch bite size pieces
2 Tbsp cooking oil
1/2 c flour
1 can(s) 10 oz. cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
2/3 c chicken broth
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1 c sour cream
1 can(s) 15 oz. french fried onions

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up pork chops into bite size pieces. Flour, salt and pepper pork chop bites then brown in cooking oil.. If needed you may add more oil for cooking.
  • 2. Place fried browned pork chop bites in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • 3. Your ingredients
  • 4. Combine soup, broth, ginger, rosemary, sour cream and 1/2 can of the french dried onions, and pour over pork chops. ( be sure and cover dish with lid or foil) Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes
  • 5. Stir remaining sour cream in your container... you can use all or a portion to the top of your casserole and top with your remaining french dried onions and return to oven uncovered for 15 minutes
  • 6. I always serve this over mashed potatoes... This is a dish that will please all that try it!!

I got this recipe from a long time good friend of mine. This is a favorite in both our homes! Definitely filling. Of course, you can add more seasoning to suit your taste. Great served with a green salad and applesauce.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
8 pork chops
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
⅔ cup milk
½ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (16 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
¾ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ (6 ounce) can French-fried onions
¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ (6 ounce) can French-fried onions

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops with seasoned salt. Cook pork chops in hot oil until browned completely, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove pork chops to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  • Mix celery soup, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Fold hash brown potatoes, 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese, and about half the French-fried onions into the soup mixture; pour into a 13x9-inch baking dish. Arrange pork chops atop the mixture. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Remove foil and top pork chops with 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese and remaining half-can French-fried onions; continue baking until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the pork chops should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

I cut this out of a cooking magazine, probably Taste Of Home and changed it to suit or our tastes. It sounds like a very flavorful way to have pork chops and to keep them moist. I haven't made them yet but plan to make them and serve them over mashed potatoes, yummy!!!!! Note: This recipe also works great in a crock pot. My friend and I have decided that it is easier to just mix all the sour cream with the soup and broth in the beginning.

3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 pork chops (3/4 to 1-inch thick)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
2/3 cup chicken broth or 2/3 cup dry white wine
1 cup sour cream, divided (8 oz)
1 (2 7/8 ounce) can French-fried onions, divided

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt and pepper; dredge pork chops.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet; cook pork chops for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until browned.
  • Place pork chops in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
  • Combine cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth and 1/2 cup sour cream; pour over chops.
  • Sprinkle with half of the French fried onions.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 50 minutes.
  • Stir remaining sour cream into the sauce.
  • Top chops with remaining onions.
  • Return to oven, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

  • Place a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onions, potatoes, cream, 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and cook for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the potatoes are fork-tender, remove from the heat. Using a slotted spoon or a skimmer, transfer the potato and onion mixture to the prepared casserole dish, along with 1 cup of cheese and 2 teaspoons rosemary. Then, pour 1 cup of cream from the saucepan evenly over the potatoes and discard of any remaining liquid. Set the casserole dish aside while you prepare the pork chops.
  • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and drizzle with 1 1/2 tablespoon of oil. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of Rosemary.
