BEST BREAD MACHINE DINNER ROLLS

Best Bread Machine Dinner Rolls image

Soft, fluffy and golden brown, these delicious bread machine dinner rolls are perfect for all occasions.

Provided by Jackie Currie

Categories     Side Dish

Time 2h20m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup warm water
2 tbsp margarine ((butter works well too))
1 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp quick rise yeast ((also known as instant yeast))
melted butter for brushing buns

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to bread machine in the above order, and press "dough" setting.
  • When done, transfer dough to a lightly-floured counter top and shape into a ball.
  • Cut ball in half, and then cut those two pieces in half and so on, until you have 16 pieces. (sprinkle more flour on your counter if dough starts to stick)
  • Shape your pieces into round buns, and place in a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish or 2 smaller dishes. Leave about an inch between buns.
  • Brush buns with melted butter, and cover the baking dish with Plastic Wrap. Set in warm spot (about 80 degrees Farenheit) until buns have doubled in size - about 40 mins. (I usually heat my oven to about 200, and then turn my oven right OFF, and place the dish in there with the door open a crack.
  • Once doubled, remove plastic wrap, and bake 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees.

SOFT BREAD MACHINE DINNER ROLLS

Soft Bread Machine Dinner Rolls image

Soft, simple, and delicious yeast rolls to serve with a holiday dinner. Made even easier if you have a bread machine!

Provided by Katie Shaw

Categories     breads

Time 2h45m

Number Of Ingredients 8

½ cup water
1 egg
¼ cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar
1½ teaspoons salt
3 cups all purpose flour
1½ teaspoons instant yeast
3 tablespoons melted butter (divided)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl or in the bucket of your bread machine. Knead by hand, with a stand mixer, or with a bread machine set on the "dough" cycle. (If using bread machine, skip step 2 and allow machine to complete the full cycle.)
  • Shape dough into a ball and place in a clean, lightly oiled bowl to rise. Cover with plastic wrap or a damp tea towel and allow to rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Turn dough out onto clean surface and divide into 16 pieces with a sharp knife. Shape the pieces into balls by pinching the bottoms until the tops are round and smooth.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or cooking spray, and place the rolls an equal distance apart. They will all fit on one sheet. Cover with greased plastic wrap and set in a warm place to rise until very puffy, about 45 minutes. Towards the end of the rising time, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Remove the plastic wrap and brush the rolls with 2 tablespoons of the melted butter. Bake for 13-16 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool on rack and brush with the remaining tablespoon of butter while still warm.
  • Serve immediately, or allow to cool completely and freeze for up to 1 month. Warm in 200 degree oven for 10 minutes before serving.

EVERYTHING ROLLS (BREAD MACHINE)

Everything Rolls (Bread Machine) image

This is a combination of Noo's Poppy and Sesame Seed Rolls (Recipe #348192), and Brenda's Everything Topping (Recipe #421678). Thanks to the both of them! Of course, I've added my own tweaks. To make these super fluffy, make sure that all of your ingredients and the room you are working in are warm!

Provided by Pale Rose

Categories     Breads

Time 3h

Yield 12 rolls, 6-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/3 cups warm water
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 -2 teaspoon mccormick butter flavor extract
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons dry active yeast
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 -2 teaspoon poppy seed
1 -2 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 -2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 -2 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Add water, butter, McCormick butter extract, garlic salt, sugar, and flour to the bread machine, in that order.
  • Make a well in the flour, and pour the yeast in the well.
  • Run the bread machine on dough cycle.
  • When dough cycle is completed, divide dough into 12 rolls and place in lightly greased 13 x 9 pan.
  • Beat egg and brush rolls with it.
  • Combine salt, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sprinkle over egg-washed rolls.
  • Cover rolls with a dry towel and let rise in a very warm place for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Bake rolls for 25 minutes.
  • Remove rolls from oven and let cool in pan for 5-10 minutes, then remove from pan.
  • TIP: If you will not be eating the rolls right away, transfer the rolls to a large enough bowl to hold them. Place a lid on top and vent it, taking care that no rolls touch the lid. Closing the airflow off while they are warm will make the rolls soggy. Leaving them out in open air will make the rolls crusty. Keeping them in a vented bowl until they are completely cool is very important for obtaining soft rolls! Once the rolls are completely cool, seal the bowl.
