Steps:
- Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Beat butter and sudar until creamy.
- Gradually add the flour mixture.
- Set aside 3/4 cup of the mixture.
- To remaining mixture, add raisins, edd and milk.
- Blend well.
- Spread into a lightly greased 8-inch square baking pan.
- Sprinkle reserved mixture overtop.
- Sprinkle with cinamon and sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

DUTCH APPLE CRUMB BARS
With fall apples, a buttery crust and a cinnamon crumb topping - it's what your family desires! Trust me..these are so good.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees and grease a 9x9 inch pan. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a food processor. Pulse to blend, then add butter in pieces.
- 2. Process about 10 seconds to make a fine meal. Blend yolk and water. Pour over dry ingredients and process until damp crumbs form. Pat crumbs into bottom and halfway up sides of pan. Bake for 25 minutes.
- 3. Mix apples, dates, sugar, and lemon juice. Spread evenly over crust. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add butter and rub it in to make moist crumbs. Cover apples with topping and pat gently.
- 4. Bake 40 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely before slicing.
PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH CRUMB CAKE
this is the MOISTEST crumb cake I have ever tried. it's my mother-in-law's recipe, and I just can't get enough of this, and I usually don't like crumb cake.

- Sift flour, baking power, salt, sugar and soda.
- Cut in butter until mixture has the consistency of course meal or small peas.
- Reserve about 1 1/2 cups of this mixture.
- Combine the eggs, milk and extracts and stire into the remainder of the dry blend.
- Pour into 2 well-buttered 10-inch pie pans.
- Brush the top of the dough w/ butter and sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until cake is done.

- In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda; cut in 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside 2 cups for topping. Press remaining crumbs into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Arrange apples over top; set aside. , In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, water, vanilla and remaining butter. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thick and bubbly; spread over apples. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. , Bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until top is lightly browned.

DUTCH APPLE CRUMBLE
It can be eaten warm or cold. Refrigerate any leftovers. Cinnamon/sugar is sold in most grocery stores or you can mix your own: Cinnamon Sugar should be stored in a clean spice jar with a shaker top. To make your own: combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1 1/2 TBSN ground cinnamon. Stir or shake it thoroughly to blend it well. Store airtight at room temperature. .

Steps:
- Mix apple pie filling and the cinnamon/sugar mix together in bowl.
- Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour and cinnamon.
- Cut butter into small pieces and add to the flour/sugar mixture and cut in a with a pastry cutter or fork until it resembles crumbs.
- Sprinkle evenly over the top of the apple mixture.
- Place in a 375* oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly in places and the crumbs begin to brown and crisp.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, butter, 1/2 cup of flour and oats until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a 9 inch square pan. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
- In the same bowl, mix together the eggs, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla until well blended. Stir in the raisins, coconut and cherries, adding a little bit of the cherry juice to keep it from becoming stiff. Spread over the baked crust in the pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until firm and lightly browned. Cool and cut into bars.
