SOUTHERN COMFORT PUNCH

Freezing the citrus slices keeps this refreshing punch cold without using ice.

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 lemons
4 navel oranges
2 six-ounce frozen lemonade, concentrate
1 six-ounce frozen orange juice, concentrate
2 liters lemon-lime soda
1 liter Southern Comfort

Steps:

  • Line two baking sheets with plastic wrap, and set aside. Slice lemons into rounds as thin as possible. Arrange lemon slices in layers on one prepared baking sheet. Repeat with oranges; layer on second baking sheet. Place in the freezer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, until fruit slices are frozen.
  • Just before serving, open the cans of frozen lemonade and orange juice, and place the frozen concentrates, whole, in a large punch bowl. Add the soda, Southern Comfort, and several handfuls of ice. Remove frozen fruit slices from freezer, and arrange over the top of punch. Serve immediately.

2 1/2 cups Southern Comfort
2 1/4 quarts 7-Up soda (can also use ginger ale or Sprite)
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice (undiluted)
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade (undiluted)
6 ounces fresh lemon juice

Steps:

  • Chill all ingredients then mix together in a punch bowl.
  • Float slices of oranges and lemons on top.
  • When ready to serve, add the 7-Up.

12 ounces lemonade concentrate, thawed
12 ounces orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 liters Sprite, chilled

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Place in punch bowl with sliced lemons, limes, oranges and ice.
  • Serve!

This recipe came from Paula Deen from the Food Network. We made it differently than the original, but it was still a hit at our Thanksgiving Dinner.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 (8 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (8 ounce) can frozen Pina Colada mix
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 liters ginger ale
375 ml bottles Southern Comfort, to taste
2 lemons, sliced round
1 orange, sliced round
2 limes, sliced round
maraschino cherry
1 quart lemonade

Steps:

  • Punch:.
  • In a large punch bowl, combine orange juice concentrate, pina colada mix, and lemon juice.
  • Stir.
  • Add ginger ale, removing excess foam with a spoon as you go.
  • Then add Southern Comfort.
  • Lemonade Ice Mold:.
  • In the mold, place half the lemons, oranges and lime rings in the bottom.
  • Then add cherries.
  • Pour enough lemonade to cover the fruit.
  • Freeze overnite.
  • In the morning, remove the mold from the freezer and add the remaining fruit and fill with lemonade.
  • Freeze the mold again.
  • Remove the ice mold and place in the bottom of punch bowl.
  • Fill bowl with punch mixture.

1 can frozen banana daiquiri mix
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 liter ginger ale
1 bottle Southern Comfort whiskey - (a 5th) or to taste
Lemonade Ice Ring (see recipe)

Steps:

  • In a large punch bowl, combine orange juice concentrate, banana daiquiri mix and lemon juice. Stir to blend. Slowly add ginger ale. Remove excess foam with a spoon and stir in Southern Comfort. Add Lemonade Ice Ring. This recipe yields 1 1/2 gallons.
