- Put spareribs in the bottom of a slow cooker; top with ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, salt, mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.

CROCKPOT SPARE RIBS
These Crockpot Spare Ribs are melt-in-your-mouth tender and so tasty! This is an easy, no-fuss recipe where the slow cooker does all the work.

Steps:
- In a small bowl combine the rub ingredients.
- Remove the silver membrane from the back of the ribs. Cut the ribs so they will fit in your slow cooker. Pat them dry with paper towels and massage the dry rub into the ribs. Evenly distribute the rub over the ribs (make sure you get both sides!).
- Nestle the ribs into the slow cooker, and cook for 7-9 hours on LOW, or 4-5 hours on HIGH.
- 45 minutes before the timer goes off, brush 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce over the ribs. Cover and continue cooking.
- Slice and serve with additional barbecue sauce (optional).

- They can be preboiled to decrease fat and cooking time.
- Combine other ingredients, except onions, and mix well.

- Place ribs in a large stock pot, and cover with water. Bring to a boil, and cook for 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together soup, onion, garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Remove ribs from water, and transfer to a slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs.
- Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or until ribs are tender.
- If sauce is too thin when cooking time is done, drain sauce from ribs, and pour into a sauce pan. Combine 1 teaspoon cornstarch with a small amount of cold water, stir into sauce, and bring sauce to boil. Cook until sauce has reached desired thickness.

- Whisk the tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, mustard, garlic, paprika, Worcestershire, 1 1/2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker until smooth. Cut each rack of ribs in half and add to the slow cooker. Use your hands to rub the sauce on to the ribs. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until tender, about 4 hours.
- Gently transfer the ribs to a baking sheet and cool for at least 20 minutes; this will help maintain the shape of the ribs as they grill. Whisk the sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker until smooth. Reserve 1/4 cup of the sauce to brush on to the ribs and save any remaining sauce to serve on the side (it will thicken as it cools).
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates. Grill the ribs, top-side down, until lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip, brush the top side of the ribs with the reserved barbecue sauce and grill until the underside of the ribs are lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove to a platter and serve immediately with the extra barbecue sauce on the side.

After reading a number of different crock pot ribs, I decided to post my version. The combination of soy and worcestershire sauce give the ribs a little something different to taste. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Cut ribs into individual pieces.
- Mix soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and olive oil together. Pour over ribs and mix to make sure each rib is coated.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Be careful with the salt since soy sauce is naturally salty.
- Cook in crock pot on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours.
- Optional: Remove from crock pot (store liquid as stock if you like, otherwise discard) and coat ribs with your favorite sauce. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. I have found the ribs taste great either way.
