This boneless pork roast and sauerkraut recipe is perfect on a cool fall or winter's day. Just put the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and let it do its thing! You'll end up with juicy and tender pork with a bite of sauerkraut on every delicious forkful.

3 pound pork shoulder roast
16 ounces jarred or bagged sauerkraut, drained
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Place roast in the slow cooker. Add sauerkraut and brown sugar and mix to combine the three.
  • Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until internal temperature registers in the middle at 150 degrees. Transfer to a plate or platter and allow to sit for 10 minutes
  • Cut roast into slices and serve with sauerkraut mix.
  • Label a gallon size freezer bag. Add all ingredients, remove excess air and lay flat to freeze. To cook, follow instructions above.

1 tablespoon minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 (3 pound) boneless pork loin roast
1 (32 ounce) jar sauerkraut with liquid
2 teaspoons caraway seeds

Steps:

  • Place the potatoes, garlic, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker; stir to coat. Season the pork roast with salt and pepper; lay atop the potatoes. Pour the sauerkraut over the roast; sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  • Cook in slow cooker on Low 8 to 10 hours.

1 porkroast of your desire and size.. does not matter..
1 large bag of deli bag sourkraut ( never use can.. taste nasty..gtt the bag. they are where the hot dogs are)
salt, pepper,and what ever spice you want.

Steps:

  • 1. Put crockpot on low... season your pork roast and put all sauerkraut on top and around roast.. even put some under roast.Juice and all.
  • 2. put on around ten ,a.m... cook untill five or six for dinner..the meat will melt in your mouth. Take roast put on cutting board.. let it rest for five minutes.scoop all your saurkraut with a spoon whith holes.. You do not want the juice... Ohhh i can taste it now...lol

1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 small baking apple, peeled, cored and diced very small (can use about 1/3 c applesauce instead)
2 lbs sauerkraut, undrained
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter, melted
salt, if needed, to taste

Steps:

  • Place pork loin in crock pot. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and black pepper.
  • Place diced apple (or applesauce) on top of pork.
  • Pour sauerkraut and juice on top.
  • Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the sauerkraut.
  • Drizzle the top with melted butter.
  • Cook on low for about 8 hours or until pork reaches internal temp of at least 160 degrees F.
  • Stir the sauerkraut around a bit before serving.

1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
2 cups water

sauerkraut
seasoning, of choice (not salt, it's in the sauerkraut, i like sage, basil, pepper and sometimes a little bit of nutmeg)

Steps:

  • Remove roast from freezer.
  • Remove all wrappings.
  • Place in a crock pot, fat side up.
  • Pour water over just to cover half of roast.
  • Add seasonings.
  • Put lid on crock pot and turn on low.
  • After 7 hours add sauerkraut around the sides.
  • (If you desire to brown remove from crock pot at this point and place in oven at 350).
  • Ready to eat after sauerkraut is heated through.

1 package (32 oz) refrigerated sauerkraut, drained
2 medium apples, peeled, sliced
1 teaspoon caraway seed
1/4 cup apple juice or water
1 boneless pork roast (2 1/2 to 3 lb), string removed, trimmed of fat
6 small red potatoes (about 18 oz), cut in half
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • In 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, lightly mix sauerkraut, apples, caraway seed and apple juice. With spoon, make indention in center of mixture; place pork roast in center.
  • Arrange potato halves around roast on sauerkraut mixture. Spread 1 tablespoon mustard over roast.
  • Cover; cook on Low setting 7 to 8 hours.
  • In small bowl, mix sauce ingredients. Remove roast from slow cooker; place on serving platter. Cut roast into slices. Arrange potatoes around slices.
