20-Minute Creamy Tuna Pasta image

Creamy tuna pasta recipe! This is the perfect easy cheap weeknight dinner idea that you can make using non-perishable foods and leftovers in your fridge. You'll want to make this tasty tuna pasta every single evening!

1 can tuna, drained
½ lemon, juice of
½ tsp chili powder (optional)
1 cup macaroni
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup kale, chopped
1 cup cauliflower, chopped
2 tbsp chopped basil
2 tbsp cream cheese
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp pesto
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Black pepper

Steps:

  • Chop the ingredients. In a nonstick pan saute the kale and cauliflower with olive oil and 1 clove of garlic and salt for 5-6 minutes, cover with a lid.
  • In the meantime mix the tuna with the lemon juice and a little bit of chili powder (if desired)
  • Add the pasta to the pan and about 1 cup of water.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, pesto, garlic and the tuna.
  • Stir in the cream cheese and add water if needed. Crush some black pepper and cover with a lid for 3 minutes (I used quick cooking macaroni).
  • Stir in the basil and let cook for another minute.
  • Take off heat and serve immediately.

This is a really good tuna recipe. Sautéed shrimp, or scallops can be substituted for the tuna. Or leave out the seafood and serve as a side dish.

2 (6 ounce) cans tuna
8 ounces fettuccine
4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Drain and flake tuna.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  • Heat butter and oil, add garlic and mushrooms; sauté until mushrooms are browned.
  • Blend in sour cream, milk, and cheese.
  • Fold in tuna and heat through.
  • Place pasta on plate, spoon sauce over.
  • Sprinkle with parsley.

1 3/4 cups milk
1 1/2 cups hot water
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 box Tuna Helper™ creamy broccoli
2 medium carrots, cut into 1/8-inch slices (1 cup)
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1 cup frozen sweet peas, thawed, drained
1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained, if desired

Steps:

  • In 12-inch skillet, heat milk, hot water, butter, uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Tuna Helper box), carrots and tuna to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in peas and mushrooms. Cover; simmer about 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat; let stand covered 5 minutes (sauce will thicken as it stands).
