1 box JELL-O EGG JIGGLERS Egg Mold
1-1/2 cups boiling water (Do not add cold water.)
1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Gelatin, any flavor

Steps:

  • Spray insides of both sides of egg mold and along rims with cooking spray. Close mold, matching up rims of egg halves. Snap each of the 6 individual egg halves together until each egg is firmly sealed. Inspect each egg to make sure it is closed and sealed. Place mold, fill-side up, on tray.
  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 3 min. until completely dissolved. Pour into measuring cup with pour spout. Immediately pour into mold through fill-holes until each egg is filled just to top of egg shape. (Any remaining gelatin mixture can be poured into custard cup.)
  • Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Open mold using a dull flat knife to gently pry between the halves of each egg. (Do not pull on the handle.) Turn mold over and shake gently to unmold eggs. Keep refrigerated.

These jiggler eggs are so much fun. Kids of all ages get a kick out of them. I hadnt made them for a while. I made them this year for Easter. As I was shaking the jigglers out of the mold and into the bowl, I was overcome with a laughing fit. So, it was a cheap bit of therapy. "Watch it wiggle, see it jiggle.." Enjoy!!!

jiggler egg molds

Steps:

1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup cold milk
assorted decorating gels

Steps:

  • Add boiling water to gelatin mixes in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Cool 30 min. at room temperature.
  • Beat pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 min. Add to gelatin; stir until blended. Pour into 13x9-inch pan.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Dip bottom of pan in warm water 15 sec. Use 2-inch egg-shaped cookie cutter to cut gelatin into 24 shapes, being careful to cut all the way through gelatin to bottom of pan. Remove JIGGLERS from pan. Decorate with gels to resemble Easter eggs. Keep refrigerated.

1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Gelatin, any flavor

Steps:

  • Use paper towel to wipe insides and along rims of both sides of egg mold with vegetable oil. (Or, spray with cooking spray.) Close mold, matching up rims of egg halves. Snap each of the egg halves together until firmly sealed. Place mold, fill-side up, on tray.
  • Add apple juice to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 3 min. until completely dissolved. Pour into measuring cup with pour spout. Immediately pour gelatin through fill-holes in tops of mold until eggs are filled just to the tops. (Any remaining gelatin mixture can be poured into a custard cup.)

1 JELL-O EGG JIGGLERS Egg Mold
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk

Steps:

  • Spray insides of both halves of open egg mold with cooking spray. Close mold; press firmly to seal both halves of each egg. Place, fill-side up, on tray.
  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in milk. Pour into measuring cup with pour spout; use to fill prepared mold.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours or until JIGGLERS eggs are firm. Use dull flat knife to pry open mold; turn mold over, then gently shake mold to remove eggs. Cut in half.

2 1/2 c boiling water
2 pkg (8-serving size) or 4 pkg (4-serving size)
1 c cold milk
1 pkg (4-serving size) jell-o vanilla or white chocolate flavor instant pudding and pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 3 minutes until completelyy dissolved. Cool 30 minutes at room temperature. Meanwhile, prepare mold.
  • 2. Oil Mold using paper towel dipped in vegetable oil or sray with non stick cooking spray. Close mold until it snaps tightly. Inspect for a good seal.
  • 3. Pour milk into medium bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with wire wisk 1 minute. Quickly stir into gelatin with wire whisk until blended. Pour into measuring cup with pour spout. Immediately pour into mold through fill-holes just to the top of the egg shape. Pour remaining mixture into 8 or 9 inch square pan. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm.
  • 4. UNMOLD-Open mold using a dull flat knife to gently pry between each molded shape. Do not open mold by pulling the handles apart. Turn mold over and shake gently to release from mold.
  • 5. Dip bottom of square pan into warm water about 15 seconds. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters all the way through gelain. Lift from pan. Makes 6 eggs and about 12 Jigglers pieces.
  • 6. SUGGESTED COMBINATIONS: Orange gelatin and vanilla pudding, Cherry gelain and white chocolate pudding.

½ cup heavy cream
2 tsp. Diamond Crystal or 1 tsp. Morton kosher salt, divided
½ cup low-sodium vegetable broth or water
2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
1 small onion, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 cups coarsely chopped peppery greens (such as mustard greens, wild arugula, or watercress)
4 large eggs
Flaky sea salt
Freshly cracked black pepper
4 thick slices bread (such as country-style, seedy, or pain de mie), toasted

Steps:

  • Using a fork, mix cream and 1 tsp. Diamond Crystal or ½ tsp. Morton kosher salt in a small bowl or a 2-cup measuring glass until salt is dissolved, then stir in broth. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 Tbsp. oil in a large skillet with a lid over medium. Add onion, garlic, and 1 tsp. Diamond Crystal or ½ tsp. Morton kosher salt and stir in the salt well with a wooden spoon (this will help onion release it's moisture, making sure it cooks but doesn't brown). Cook, stirring often, until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add 1 Tbsp. water to pan followed by half of greens, stirring well (you want to get some of the greens in direct contact with the bottom of the pan). Cook, stirring occasionally, until wilted, about 3 minutes. Mix in remaining greens and cook, stirring occasionally, until wilted, about 3 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour half of reserved cream mixture over greens mixture. Using wooden spoon, make 4 wells in greens mixture, spacing evenly apart. Crack an egg into each well and pour remaining cream mix over eggs. Cover pan with lid and increase heat to medium-low. Cook until eggs whites are almost entirely opaque but yolks are still runny, about 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let sit, still covered, until whites are completely cooked, about 2 minutes. (If the bottoms of the eggs seem to be cooking faster than the tops, just turn off the heat, keep the lid on, and cook the tops with the residual heat. If you want more firm egg yolks, just simmer or keep the lid on for a little longer.)
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper and drizzle generously with oil over the top. Serve with toast.

Adding a small amount of a starchy slurry to scrambled eggs - a technique learned from Mandy Lee of the food blog Lady & Pups - prevents them from setting up too firmly, resulting in eggs that stay tender and moist, whether you like them soft-, medium- or hard-scrambled. 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch cubes

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together starch with 1 1/2 tablespoons water until no lumps remain. Add half the butter cubes to starch mixture. Add eggs and salt, and whisk, breaking up any cubes of butter that have stuck together, until the eggs are frothy and homogenous. (There will still be solid chunks of butter in the eggs.)
  • Set your serving plate near the stovetop. Heat 1 tablespoon water in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high, swirling gently until the water evaporates, leaving behind only a few small droplets. More vigorous stirring will result in finer, softer curds, while more leisurely stirring will result in larger, fluffier curds. Immediately transfer to the serving plate, and serve.
