Most commercial garlic dressings don't have enough garlic taste for me, but this one always hits the spot. The thick and creamy dressing will jazz up any salad. -Michele Odstrcilek of Lemont, Illinois

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
1/3 cup fat-free milk
2 teaspoons sugar
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk the sour cream, mayonnaise, milk and sugar. Stir in the onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

1 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor; cover and process until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

I love this dressing! It's so creamy and delicious! If you are out of buttermilk, you can substitute 1/4 cup sour cream and 1/4 cup milk. I have done that many times with very good results. This one tastes great either way. Make it the day before you plan to use it if you can. That way the flavors will have time to blend.

1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon parsley flakes

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Place mayo and buttermilk in a covered container and shake to combine.
  • Add all the other ingredients and shake until well blended.
  • Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake before using.
