3 cups penne pasta, uncooked
¼ cup KRAFT Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing
4 (4 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup fat-free, reduced-sodium chicken broth
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel cheese, cubed
2 cups grape tomatoes
½ cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese
8 fresh basil leaves, cut into strips

Steps:

  • Cook pasta as directed on package. Meanwhile, heat 2 Tbsp. dressing in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cover. Cook 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (165 degrees F). Remove chicken from skillet; cover to keep warm. Carefully wipe out skillet with paper towel.
  • Add remaining dressing, broth and seasonings to skillet; cook 3 to 4 min. or until heated through. Add Neufchatel; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until Neufchatel is melted. Stir in tomatoes; cook 3 min.
  • Drain pasta. Add to ingredients in skillet with Parmesan and basil; mix well. Serve topped with chicken.

This dish was inspired by combining several different recipes. (Note - we don't like a lot of extra sauce- just enough to cover the pasta - so if you like a lot of sauce, you may want to make a little more).

2 cups farfalle pasta, uncooked
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 onion, peeled and chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
7 ounces diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried parsley
4 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces, cooked

Steps:

  • Heat teaspoon of oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add onion and sauté until starting to brown.
  • Add garlic and sun-dried tomatoes; sauté 3 more minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, pepper, and other herbs. Stir well, reduce heat, cover and simmer about 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta according to directions.
  • Add cream cheese, milk, and parmesan to tomato pot and melt over low heat until cheeses are incorporated.
  • Add chicken and drained pasta, and mix until blended.

This creamy pasta dinner can be made in less than 20 minutes and tastes like it is straight out of your favorite Italian restaurant. Popular with the kids and adults, this dish seems too tasty to be so easy!

1 tbsp butter
5 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
28 oz crushed tomatoes
1 cup cream
1 cup Romano cheese (grated)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
16 oz penne pasta

Steps:

  • Prepare the pasta per package directions.
  • Over medium high heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning. Flash cook the garlic, about 1 minute, and then add crushed tomatoes. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Add shredded Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then immediately reduce to low heat and stir continuously, until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Then stir in the basil giving it 2-3 minutes to wilt.
  • Remove from heat and toss pasta with the sauce. Garnish with additional parmesan and/or fresh basil. Enjoy!

1 (8 ounce) package Philadelphia Cream Cheese, cubed
1/4 cup kraft special collection sun-dried tomato vinaigrette dressing
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package linguine
1/2 cup toasted pine nuts

Steps:

  • Toss tomatoes with cream cheese cubes, fresh basil and dressing. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Place in large bowl.
  • Add tomato mixture and pine nuts while pasta is still warm. Toss lightly.

Quick and easy pasta that packs so much delicious flavor and is ready in under 30 minutes! Made with fresh tomatoes and basil, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese, creating an insanely creamy and flavorful sauce that you'll absolutely love.

8 ounces pasta ((I used Cavatappi))
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes ((optional - it'll be a little spicy))
2 roma tomatoes, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
15 ounces tomato sauce
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
1/2 cup fresh bail, roughly chopped, plus more for serving

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente according to package directions. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining. While the pasta cooks, make the sauce.
  • Add the butter, onion and red pepper flakes (if using) to a large skillet over medium-hight heat and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the onion is translucent. Add the tomatoes and garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft.
  • Reduce heat to medium, and pour in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the parmesan cheese until melted, then add the cooked pasta. Mix until the sauce coats the pasta. Let the pasta simmer in the sauce for a couple minutes. As it simmers, you may need to add pasta water to thin out the sauce. Start with 1/4 cup of pasta water and add more as needed. Stir in the fresh basil and serve immediately.
  • Garnish the pasta with freshly grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

This creamy tomato basil pasta recipe is a delicious meatless meal that's fast, simple to make, and is perfect for in-season summer tomatoes and fresh basil!

8 ounces uncooked pasta
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 tablespoon flour
3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken/veg broth
1 cup heavy/whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 medium tomatoes (chopped)
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup basil (tear it up) (or more, to taste)
Salt & pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Boil a salted pot of water for the pasta and cook it al dente according to package directions.
  • When the pasta is about 10 minutes away from being done, add the butter to a skillet over medium-high heat. Once it melts, make a quick roux by sprinkling the flour in and cook for about 1 minute, stirring fairly often.
  • Add in the garlic, followed by the wine (or broth). Let it bubble until it's reduced by half (approx. 30 seconds to 1 minute).
  • Whisk in the cream, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning until you've got a smooth sauce.
  • Stir in the chopped tomatoes. Cook the sauce for another 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened up a bit.
  • Take the skillet off the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese and basil.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss until coated (I usually add a tablespoon or so of the pasta water to the sauce prior to draining it, especially if it's become a tad too thick). Serve immediately with more freshly grated parmesan if desired.
