BACON-WRAPPED PICKLES

You can pretty much wrap anything in bacon, including pickles! These are perfect for game day or any time of year. Thick-cut bacon doesn't work as well for these, so use the thinner slices. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing. These are also tasty dipped in Buffalo sauce.

Ingredients

8 pickle spears
2 ounces cream cheese, chilled
8 slices bacon
¼ cup ranch dressing

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat pickles dry with a paper towel. Cut cream cheese into 8 strips. Place 1 strip onto each pickle, and wrap with a strip of bacon, securing ends with toothpicks if necessary. Place pickles on the baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until bacon is browned, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool slightly, then serve with ranch dressing.

I decided to try this recipe on my card club, and it was a big success. They loved it. This ham pickle roll up recipe can be swapped around and changed in so many different ways and always turns out as an awesome appetizer or great-looking centerpiece over a hand of cards.

Ingredients

2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons spicy ranch salad dressing mix
2 slices deli ham
2 whole dill pickles

Steps:

In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and dressing mix. Spread over ham slices. Place a pickle on each ham slice. Roll up tightly; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. Cut each wrap into six slices.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 ½ ounces thin-sliced beef luncheon meat

Steps:

Spread or pat cream cheese around each pickle. Wrap 2 sheets of meat around each pickle. Refrigerate pickles overnight, and slice before serving.

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon dried dill weed

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
Unroll dough on lightly floured surface and press seams together. Sprinkle one side of block of cream cheese with enough dill to cover. Place cream cheese, dill side down, in center of dough. Sprinkle with more dill to cover. Bring sides of dough up around cheese block and seal to completely enclose.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for approximately 15 minutes. Serve warm.
