Another easy dessert for the Holidays! Lighter than heavier fruit pies we don't seem to have room for! Another Ocean Spray recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 5

32 large marshmallows
1 can(s) 14 oz whole cranberry sauce
1 c chilled whipped cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 (6 oz. ) pre-made vanilla wafer or graham cracker crust

Steps:

  • 1. Combine marshmallows and cranberry sauce in a medium saucepan. Cook on medium low heat, stirring constantly, just until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat, cool 10 minutes. Refrigerate stirring occasionally, about 1 hour or until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.
  • 2. Beat whipping cream and vanilla in a small mixing bowl until stiff peaks form. Stir in cranberry mixture until blended, fold into whipped cream. Pour into crust. Chill until set, at least 5 hours. For a cool treat on a hot day, try freezing the pie until firm.
  • 3. To serve, garnish slices with additional sweetened whipped cream, if desired. Makes 6 servings

A holiday tradition at Cristie Hunt's house in Rossville, Georgia, this fluffy refresher is pretty as a picture and lighter than air. "It makes a great alternative to plain old cranberry sauce," she adds, "and an easy potluck dish for seasonal get-togethers."

1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups whipped topping

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, marshmallows, pineapple and lemon juice. Fold in whipped topping. Transfer to a serving dish. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups whipped topping

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, marshmallows, pineapple and lemon juice.
  • Fold in whipped topping.
  • Transfer to a serving dish.
  • Cover and refrigerate until serving.

2 cans (16 ounces each) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inches)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, brown sugar and butter. Line pie plate with bottom pastry; add filling. , Top with a lattice crust. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned.
