NO BAKE - OAT DELIGHT COOKIES

No Bake - Oat Delight Cookies image

My mom used to make these cookies when we were kids, at Easter she would make a well in the centre and add jelly beans to look like birds nests.

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup shredded coconut
3 cups rolled oats

Steps:

Combine sugar, cocoa, butter or marg and milk in large sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut and rolled oats, stir until all in coated in chocolate mixture.
Drop by the spoonful onto greased cookie sheet, etc and allow to cool before eating.
These cookies set up best if cooled in the fridge.

I have not tried this cookie yet, but it sounds so interesting with the bran flakes that I'm posting this so I won't lose it. This was in our Sunday paper. Let me know what you think of these, I plan on making these in the next couple of weeks.

Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups bran flakes
2 cups raisins
1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 2 tsp. water

Steps:

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add soda and water.
Knead to smooth dough
Roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 for 8 - 10 minutes.

This is from Simple & Delicious. I took this to church this last Sunday and it was devoured. It went so fast I didn't get to try it. I was told by a church member that my family brings the most sinful desserts to church.

Ingredients

1 (16 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (12 ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
3 cups cold milk
1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
chopped nuts (optional)
chocolate curls (optional)

Steps:

Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften.
Press into an ungreased 13 x 9 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on wire rack.
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Fold in 1-3/4 cups whipped topping.
Spread over crust.
In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes; let stand for 2 minutes or until soft set.
Spread over cream cheese layer.
Top with remaining whipped topping.
Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate curls if desired.
Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight until firm.
