1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling, divided

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl until well blended. Stir in COOL WHIP.
  • Spoon half evenly into 8 parfait glasses or dessert dishes; cover with half the pie filling. Repeat layers.

A nice, light no-bake dessert that's a cross between cake and pudding! Easy and delicious! I made mine low-fat by using low-fat cream cheese and lite whipped topping.

2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
1 cup white sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) angel food cake

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine cherries, sugar and flour. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. fold in whipped topping. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into a 9x12 inch glass dish.
  • Crumble the angel food cake and sprinkle evenly over the top of cream cheese mixture in dish. Spread remaining cream cheese mixture over cake. Cover top with cherry mixture. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours.

I have been making this for several years. It is really a hit in the winter because it looks like it's name. Easy to do, no baking if you buy the angel food cake.

8 oz tub fat free cream cheese
1 c sifted powdered sugar
12 oz lite coolwhip, thawed
8 c 1" cubed angel food cake (12 ounces}
2 can(s) 20 ounces each lite cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Beat the cream cheese at medium speed of mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until blended. Gently fold in coolwhip.
  • 2. Place half the cake cubes in a trifle dish or large glass bowl; top with half the cheese mixture. Spread half the cherry pie filling over cheese mixture. Repeat layers with remaining cake cubes, cheese mixture and cherry pie filling. cover and chill.

1 pkg Duncan Hines® Angel Food Cake Mix
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 (12 oz) container frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
1 1/4 cup water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions. Cut cake into 16 slices. 2. Combine cream cheese and confectioners' sugar in small bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth. 3. To assemble, spread half the whipped topping in bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Arrange 8 cake slices on whipped topping: press lightly. Spread with cream cheese mixture. Arrange remaining cake slices on cream cheese mixture; press lightly. Spread with remaining whipped topping. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over top. (Pan will be filled to the brim.) Refrigerate for 2 hours or until ready to serve. Cut into squares.

The husband of a good friend of mine is a great cook. This is a recipe I received from him and it is delicious and easy to put together.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
12 ounces cream cheese, softened (can use lite)
16 ounces Cool Whip (can use lite, fat-free)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling (can use any flavor)

Steps:

  • Mix together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted margarine. Press down for the crust in a 9 x 13 pan. Chill while you're making the filling.
  • Blend cream cheese in blender.
  • Gradually blend in cool whip.
  • Gradually blend in powdered sugar.
  • Spread in pan over crust. Chill 1/2 hour.
  • Place pie filling on top of cream cheese mixture.

A recipe my grandma Lorraine Stromgren used to make when my mom was a kid. Plan ahead, this one takes overnight and then some refrigeration the next day.

6 egg whites, beaten to soft peaks
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 (6 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pint whipping cream, whipped
2 cups miniature marshmallows
wilderness pie filling or cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees (at least for 10 minutes).
  • Beat 6 egg whites to soft peaks, then add 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and continue beating until stiff, about 15 minutes.
  • Put into greased 9x13 inch pan.
  • Put into oven and shut off oven.
  • Leave in oven overnight.
  • Cream 6 ounces cream cheese with 1 cup sugar.
  • Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • Then fold in 1 pint whipping cream, that has been whipped.
  • Add 2 cups miniature marshmallows.
  • Spread over meringue.
  • Refrigerate for 8 hours or more.
  • Cut into pieces and top with cherry pie filling and serve (Use Wilderness pie filling, it's thicker).

This also makes a great dessert for holiday buffet; and this can be made by using any canned pie -filling- I have made it with pineapple pie filling and blueberry; both turned out great.

CRUST:
1 c all purpose flour
1 stick butter
1/4 c brown sugar,packed
1/2 c chopped nuts
FILLING:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c powdered sugar
8 oz thawed cool whip
TOPPING:
21 oz can cherry pie filling
1/2 c mini chocolate chips, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Crust: Mix in a medium bowl, the flour, sugar and nuts. Mix in butter until crumbly. Pat down in a 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake in 350^ oven for about 12 minutes.( or you can use your favorite pie crust or refrigerated cookie dough.) Pat down and bake the same. Set aside to cool. --- Filling: In a large bowl mix until smooth the cream cheese, and vanilla , stir in powdered sugar and Cool whip. Spread over cooled crust. Topping: Spread cherries over filling in spoonsful evenly and carefully. Top with mini chocolate chips, if desired
