Chocolate Chip Pound Cake is a big favorite of my family. Has a wonderful texture.

1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 cup milk
3 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, grated
1 cup milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
  • In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix. Make a well in the center and pour in oil, eggs and milk. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Stir in grated chocolate and chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup butter or 2/3 cup margarine, softened
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup whipping cream

Steps:

  • heat oven to 350*F.
  • in large mixer bowl combine sugar and butter. beat at low speed, scraping bowl often until light and fluffy. continue beating, adding eggs one at a time, until creamy.
  • by hand fold in remaining cake ingredients.
  • pour into greased 9"sq baking pan.
  • bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, remove from oven and set aside.
  • in 1 qt saucepan place 1 cup chocolate chips and whipping cream. cook over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted.
  • serve sauce over squares.

  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in the sour cream. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until well combined. Then beat in the vanilla and almond extracts. Add the flour and beat on low speed until just combined. Stir in 1-1/2 cups of the mini chocolate chips.
  • Spread half of the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle evenly with the remaining chocolate chips. Spread the other half of the batter evenly over the chocolate chips.
  • Place the cake pan on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top of the cake starts to brown too much, place a sheet of parchment paper over the top of the cake until it is done baking.
