Steps:
- Prepare the dressing: Put the dressing ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
- Cook the pasta: Put the pasta in a large pot in salted boiling water (1 Tbsp salt for every 2 quarts of water). Cook al dente, according to the directions on the pasta package. Drain.
- Toss with dressing, chill: Stir together the cooked pasta and the dressing in a large bowl until the pasta is well coated. Cover and chill for several hours.

- Cook the udon noodles as the label directs; drain and let cool. Meanwhile, cook the edamame as the label directs; drain and let cool.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and oil the grates. Add the scallions and cook, turning, until charred, about 3 minutes. Let cool, then slice.
- Make the dressing: Whisk the tahini, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar and ginger in a large bowl. Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons water to make a smooth sauce.
- Add the noodles and edamame to the dressing along with the bean sprouts, carrots and snow peas; toss. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

- 1. Boil the noodles until soft (about 6-8 minutes). Immediately drain and rinse in cold water. Stop the cooking process! Drain well and toss with sesame oil to keep from sticking together.
- 2. Heat vegetable oil, add the garlic, onions, ginger and chili. Cook for a few minutes, then add the remainder of the dressing ingredients. When the sugar has dissolved and the peanut butter is creamed into the the dressing, toss over the noodles. Use your fingers to gently massage the dressing into the noodles.
- 3. Transfer the salad to a pretty dish. Discard any remaining dressing (you don't want to drown the noodles). Top with cucumber slices, toasted sesame seeds and cilantro. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

This amazing salad recipe was given to me by a friend who used to know someone at the now closed Larry's Markets in the Seattle area. I've added to the recipe a little -- so it's not exactly the same... but better! I take this to every picnic and everyone loves it! May also add diced chicken for a variation.

- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the angel hair pasta, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.
- Whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chili oil, and sugar in a large bowl. Toss the pasta in the dressing, then sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onion, and bell pepper. Serve warm, or cover and refrigerate for a cold salad.

Do not let the noodles sit in the sauce toss the complete salad together just before serving --- to save some time the dressing and/or the pasta can be prepared a day in advance --- you can add in your favorite veggies to the salad if desired, the amounts may be doubled to yield 6-8 -- this is very good!

- Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender; drain and rinse well under COLD water, then toss with 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, transfer to a large bowl, then add in the red bell pepper and green onions.

I got this recipe from the back of a packet of Chang's Fried Noodles. It's so easy and tasty and a real hit. You can use any other Asian fried noodles or even two minute noodles if you can't find Chang's Fried Noodles. I prefer to use pine nuts in this recipe.

- Combine Cabbage and Onions.
- Refrigerate until ready to toss.
- Brown Noodles, almonds and Sesame Seeds lightly in Butter.

- Fill a saucepan with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Once the water is boiling, stir in the linguine, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Allow the dressing to stand for 30 minutes. Lightly toss in the carrots, green onions, linguini and green beans, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and chill before serving.
