Chicken breasts marinated in olive and sesame oils, chicken broth, and soy sauce with a tasty kick of sesame seeds, chile peppers and basil. Lightly grilled and heavily enjoyed by you! ½ cup light soy sauce
½ cup low-sodium, low-fat chicken broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
2 whole dried chile peppers, cut in half
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts

Steps:

  • To Marinate: In a medium nonporous glass dish or bowl combine the soy sauce, chicken broth, olive oil, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chile peppers and basil. Mix well and add chicken. Turn to coat, cover dish or bowl and refrigerate to marinate for up to 24 hours.
  • Preheat grill to high heat with the grate set 6 inches from the heat source, and lightly oil grate.
  • Remove chicken from dish, discarding any leftover marinade. Grill chicken over high heat for 7 minutes per side or until cooked through and no longer pink inside.

2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 large onion , halved and sliced
3 garlic cloves , finely chopped
5cm/2in piece ginger , peeled and finely chopped
4 chicken breasts , cut into bite-sized pieces
300g pak choi , trimmed, leaves separated and larger leaves halved
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp soy sauce , plus extra to serve
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
egg noodles or rice, cooked, to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a wok or large saucepan. Add the onion and stir-fry for 5 mins until turning golden. Add the garlic, ginger, chicken, pak choi and sesame seeds, and stir-fry for 5 mins or until the chicken is cooked.
  • Mix the cornflour with the soy sauce, chilli sauce and lemon juice. Add to the pan and stir-fry for 1 min. Serve straight away with extra soy sauce and egg noodles or rice, if you like.

Fast and easy recipe for your grill. My family likes the sweet-hot flavors in this chicken. You can make the sesame-chili sauce up to 5 days ahead and store it in the refrigerator. I found this in a magazine, don't know which one cuz the clipping is very worn out.

1 (8 1/2 ounce) jar plum sauce or 3/4 cup sweet and sour sauce
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons grated ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons Asian chili sauce (I use Srirachi)
1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
2 frying chicken, quartered or cut into 8 pieces

Steps:

  • For sesame-chili sauce: in a small saucepan combine all of the ingredients except chicken; cook over medium heat until bubbly, stirring frequently; reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.
  • Rinse chicken and pat dry; remove skin if desired.
  • Place chicken, bone side down, on an uncovered grill over medium coals (or gas grill set to medium); grill for 20 minutes; turn, grill 15-25 minutes more or till tender and no longer pink (cut to test).
  • Brush with sauce frequently during the last 10 minutes of grilling.
  • Transfer chicken to a serving platter; heat any remaining sauce and pass with chicken.
