1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons oil
1 ½ cups water
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup heavy cream (or milk)
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
plain greek yogurt

Steps:

  • Add water, salt and rice to a 2-quart saucepan; stir. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 22-24 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, coat chicken pieces with seasoning in shallow bowl or plastic bag.
  • Heat oil in 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add chicken and onions; cook 7 to 9 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in Tikka Masala sauce and cream; cook 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
  • Serve chicken and onions with rice. Sprinkle with optional toppings if desired. Enjoy!

½ cup greek yogurt
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
2 tablespoons scallion, sliced
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
1 lime, juiced
1 box Deep Indian Kitchen Garlic Naan
3 packages Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Tikka Masala
1 cup shredded colby jack
½ small red onion, diced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
2 tablespoons scallion, chopped
1 jalapeño, sliced thin, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  • Raita: Place all ingredients in a small bowl and mix until well incorporated. Set aside.
  • Naan-chos: Defrost Deep Indian Kitchen Garlic Naan and cut each piece into approximately 7 triangles. Place in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Cook 3 boxes of Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Tikka Masala according to package instructions and set aside to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the rice from the tikka masala meals and save to use in another meal. Remove the chicken from the sauce and dice into small pieces. Toss the chicken and sauce in a small bowl and then top the baked naan with this mixture.
  • Sprinkle the chicken with the shredded Colby Jack cheese and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and top the naan-chos with dollops of raita, red onion, cilantro, scallion, and optional jalapeño.

Sure, it might take two days to throw together, but when you pair it with some fluffy steamed rice or buttery, garlic naan, it's well worth the wait. Don't believe us? Try it yourself!

3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon minced ginger
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons garam masala
2 teaspoons paprika
3 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons minced ginger
8 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 tablespoon tomato puree
3 ½ cups tomato sauce
1 ¼ cups water
1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup fresh cilantro, for garnish
cooked rice, for serving
naan bread, for serving
Bamboo or wooden skewer

Steps:

  • Slice the chicken into bite-sized chunks. Combine the cubed chicken with the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, cumin, garam masala, and paprika and stir until well-coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). Line a high-sided baking pan or roasting tray with parchment paper.
  • Place the marinated chicken pieces on bamboo or wooden skewers, then set them over the prepared baking pan, making sure there is space underneath the chicken to help distribute the heat more evenly. Bake for about 15 minutes, until slightly dark brown on the edges.
  • Make the sauce: Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat, then sauté the onions, ginger, and garlic until tender but not browned. Add the cumin, turmeric, coriander, paprika, chili powder, and garam masala and stir constantly for about 30 seconds, until the spices are fragrant. Stir in the tomato puree, tomato sauce, and 1 ¼ cups of water, then bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. Pour in the cream.
  • Remove the chicken from the skewers and add to the sauce, cooking for another 1-2 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve over rice or alongside naan bread.

¾ cup plain yogurt
rice

Steps:

  • Place the chicken pieces in the slow cooker and coat well with the flour and salt.
  • Throw in the garam masala, turmeric, paprika, onions, garlic, chillies, chopped tomatoes and tomato puree and mix together.
  • Slow cook on high for 3 hours.
  • After 3 hours, stir in the plain yogurt. Serve with rice and top with chopped coriander.

1 box Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Tikka Masala
2 tablespoons small red onion, diced
2 tablespoons small jalapeño, diced
¼ cup cilantro, thinly sliced, plus more for garnish
½ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups panko bread crumbs, divided
3 eggs, divided
canola oil, for frying
1 lime, cut into wedges, for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  • Remove Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Tikka Masala from the box, puncture the film with a fork 3 times, and microwave for 2 minutes. Remove chicken and dice into small pieces. Put the diced chicken into a medium-sized bowl with the rice and sauce.
  • In that bowl, add the red onion, jalapeño, ¼ cup (10 G) cilantro, cumin, salt, cheddar cheese, ½ cup panko, and 1 whisked egg. Mix until everything is combined and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Divide the mixture and use your hands to roll into 8 even balls, making sure they are tightly packed.
  • Place balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes to set up.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the remaining 2 eggs. In another small bowl, place the panko.
  • Remove the rice bites from the freezer and coat each bite first in the egg and then in the panko, slightly pressing the panko onto the bite evenly.
  • Fill a small, high-walled sauce pan with 2" of canola oil and heat to 350ºF. Working in batches, lower the bites into the oil 4 at a time using a slotted spoon and cook for 30 seconds on each side or until golden brown.
  • Place the fried bites back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot, garnished with cilantro and lime wedges.
  • Enjoy!
