Apples and cinnamon candies spice up a sweet version of crunchy Chex® cereal snack mix.

Ingredients

3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
3 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex™ cereal
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup red cinnamon candies
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup water
1 cup cut-up dried apple pieces (1/2- to 3/4-inch pieces)
Ground cinnamon, if desired

Steps:

Heat oven to 300°F. In large bowl, mix cereals and pecans.
In 3-quart saucepan, heat candies, sugar, butter and water over medium heat, stirring frequently, until melted and blended. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased large roasting pan.
Bake 20 minutes. Stir in apple pieces. Bake 15 minutes longer. Spread on waxed paper or foil; cool about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Store in airtight container.

5 cups Apple Cinnamon Chex® cereal
1 cup dry-roasted peanuts
1 cup mini-pretzel twists
¼ cup butter or margarine
½ cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
⅛ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup candy-coated chocolate candies

Steps:

In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal, peanuts and pretzels.
In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar and corn syrup uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute; stir until smooth. Stir in baking soda until foamy. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring and scraping bowl every 30 seconds, just until cereal begins to brown. Cool 5 minutes; stir in candies. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool; break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

3 cups Apple Jacks cereal
2 cups pecan halves
1 cup whole blanched almonds
1 cup chow mein noodles
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg white

Steps:

In a large bowl, combine the cereal, nuts and chow mein noodles. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt; stir in egg white. Pour over the cereal mixture and toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 300° for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Steps:

In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal and almonds.
In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon uncovered on High about 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until mixture is boiling; stir. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring and scraping bowl after every minute.
