CHERRIES IN THE SNOW
I have been making this for several years. It is really a hit in the winter because it looks like it's name. Easy to do, no baking if you buy the angel food cake.

Steps:
- 1. Beat the cream cheese at medium speed of mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until blended. Gently fold in coolwhip.
- 2. Place half the cake cubes in a trifle dish or large glass bowl; top with half the cheese mixture. Spread half the cherry pie filling over cheese mixture. Repeat layers with remaining cake cubes, cheese mixture and cherry pie filling. cover and chill.

This cake made my grandmother famous on her block!! So easy too!! Great for block parties, picnics, or holidays.

Steps:
- Prepare and bake cake according to directions given on cake mix box using a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool in pan.
- Prepare pudding according to directions. Pour on top of cooled cake. Pour cherries on top of pudding. Serve. Refrigerate any leftovers.

CHERRIES IN THE SNOW CAKE II
Steps:
- In a saucepan, combine cherries, sugar and flour. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. fold in whipped topping. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into a 9x12 inch glass dish.
- Crumble the angel food cake and sprinkle evenly over the top of cream cheese mixture in dish. Spread remaining cream cheese mixture over cake. Cover top with cherry mixture. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours.

- Cut angel food cake into small cubes. Set aside.
- Beat cream cheese.
- Gradually add milk, confectioner's sugar and vanilla. Mix well.
- Fold in cool whip.
- Layer in punch bowl: cream cheese mixture, cake, cherries. Repeat.
- Refrigerate overnight.

- Bake & Cool cake as directed on box.
- Combine Dream Whip, milk and vanilla.
- Beat until stiff peaks appear.
- Mix Cream Cheese, sugar & Dream Whip mix.
- Beat until smooth.
- Spread thin layer on cake plate.
- Cut cake into three layers.
- Spoon mixture & a few cherries on each layer.
- Stack layers one on another.
- Sread mixture on outer part of cake.
- Pour remaining cherries over top.
- Refridgerate to keep set.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions. Cut cake into 16 slices. 2. Combine cream cheese and confectioners' sugar in small bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth. 3. To assemble, spread half the whipped topping in bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Arrange 8 cake slices on whipped topping: press lightly. Spread with cream cheese mixture. Arrange remaining cake slices on cream cheese mixture; press lightly. Spread with remaining whipped topping. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over top. (Pan will be filled to the brim.) Refrigerate for 2 hours or until ready to serve. Cut into squares.
