Number Of Ingredients 13

1 large egg
1/2 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
4 tablespoons chili powder, divided
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 cups crushed Ritz crackers (about 1 sleeve)
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound bulk pork sausage
2 cups shredded process cheese (Velveeta)
1 can (26 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
2-1/2 cups water
1 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, whisk egg, milk, minced onion, 2 tablespoons chili powder, salt and pepper; stir in crushed crackers. Add beef, sausage and cheese; mix lightly but thoroughly., Shape mixture into 1-in. balls. Place meatballs on greased racks in 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake until browned, 15-18 minutes., Meanwhile, in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker, combine soup, water, brown sugar and remaining chili powder. Gently stir in meatballs. Cook, covered, on low until meatballs are cooked through, 4-5 hours.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup grated onion
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
2 cups cooked egg noodles
1/2 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
1 -2 tablespoon chives
6 tablespoons butter, 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 3 cups beef broth, 1/2 cup heavy cream and salt to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground meats, panko, eggs, melted butter, and seasonings. Roll mixture into balls.
  • In skillet on medium-high heat, cook meatballs in some olive oil, until browned on all sides. Transfer to a paper towel lined tray and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in the flour, until lightly browned. Slowly pour in the beef broth, while whisking continuously. Keep whisking and cooking until slightly thickened. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place meatballs in the gravy and simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Cook egg noodles to al dente and drain. In a baking dish, mix together with meatballs and gravy. Sprinkle with desired amount of shredded Gruyere cheese. Bake at 375° F until slightly golden and bubbling. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley.

Number Of Ingredients 18

MEATBALLS
1/2 lb gd beef
1/2 lb gd pork
1 c each panko and parmesan cheese
2 large eggs beaten
salt and pepper
3 Tbsp minced dry onion
1 Tbsp garlic powder
GRAVY
1/2 c each butter and flour
6 c beef broth
1/2 c heavy cream
salt and pepper
NOODLES AND CHEESE
8 oz egg noodles cooked and drained
8 oz gruyere cheese shredded
GARNISH
2 Tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients for meatballs together and shape into desired size balls. Brown in a large skillet in a little oil in batches. Set aside.
  • 2. Make a roux with butter and flour. Cook a couple of minutes. Add the beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a boil to thicken. Add the meatballs and simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper
  • 3. Spray a baking pan with cooking spray. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Pour cooked noodles in bottom of pan. Top with meatballs and gravy. Sprinkle the cheese on top
  • 4. Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly. About 15 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley

1 lb ground beef
1 lb hot italian sausage
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 cup italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 cup milk
24 oz marinara sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, garlic, parsley, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, eggs, and milk. Mix until everything is fully infused together.
  • Roll into 4-5 ounce (113-142 g) meatballs. For even amounts, use a medium-sized ice cream scooper.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a pan, and brown the meatballs on both sides for about 2-3 minutes or until you create a nice crispy sear. Cook about half way through. They will finish cooking in the oven.
  • In a casserole dish, spread a few tablespoons of marinara sauce to the bottom of the pan to help prevent sticking. Then place meatballs in the casserole dish and add the remaining jar of marinara sauce. Top with 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover in foil and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and the meatballs are fully cooked.
  • Serve and garnish with parsley.

  • In a large bowl, combine all of meatball ingredients and mix until well combined. Roll the meatballs into balls (equally sized). I made mine about 2 tbsp in size (makes about 20-22).
  • In a large, high-walled skillet, heat 1-2 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat. Add half of your meatballs, cooking in 2 batches to ensure that they aren’t overcrowded. Cook the meatballs until they are browned on all sides and mostly cooked through (they will finish cooking in the oven later). Repeat steps for the second half of meatballs, adding more olive oil if necessary.
  • Set the cooked meatballs aside. Add 5 tbsp of butter to the skillet and melt. Slowly add the flour, whisking constantly until the flour is fully incorporated. Cook the flour for 2-3 minutes, continuing to whisk constantly.
  • Add the beef broth, sour cream, heavy cream (or milk), Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and about 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer, and then lower heat to medium-low. Continue to cook the sauce at a gentle simmer until it thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
