SAUSAGE WONTON STARS
These fancy-looking appetizers are ideal when entertaining large groups. The cute crunchy cups are stuffed with a cheesy pork sausage filling that kids of all ages enjoy. We keep a few in the freezer so we can easily reheat them for late-night snacking. -Mary Thomas North Lewisburg, Ohio

SAUSAGE-FILLED STARS
This is a fabulous appetizer; it does take a little time to prepare, but the taste is well worth it. If you want to freeze them for later use, they turn out just as good; just pop them in the freezer after filling the cups and then bake a bit longer then in the original recipe.

HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH SAUSAGE STARS
These are easy to make you can do the wonton wraps the day or so ahead and have the sausage mixture made in advance then just 5 minutes before serving you fill the wraps and pop them in the oven. For a lighter exterior I prefer to use Spring Roll wraps. Use your regular pork breakfast sausage. if you wish use Italian sausage or bratwurst

- You will need a mini muffin pan for these, I use one that has 24 spots. Spray your mini muffin pan with non stick spray.
- Allow your won ton wrappers to get to room temperature, this helps when you place them in the muffin pan. Place one wrapper in each spot of the muffin tin. You want to make sure to press the wrapper so that it forms to the circle. Use caution so that they don't tear. If some small tears occur on the bottom it won't be detrimental.
- When you have placed all 24 wrappers in the tray, heat your oven to 350 degrees and bake the won ton wrappers for about 5 minutes or until you see the edges getting golden brown. Pull from oven and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, heat your cooking oil and add your sausage. Cook until it is cooked through and make sure you are breaking up the sausage as you go.
