CHERRY DELIGHT RECIPE
Three easy layers, one sensational dessert make this Cherry Delight recipe! Store-bought ease saves time while loading up on creamy, sweet, tart flavor.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9X13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar. Press into prepared baking dish. Bake in preheated oven until crust edges are golden, 12 to 14 minutes. Cool completely, on a wire rack, about about 45 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together cream cheese, and sour cream with an electric mixer until evenly combined.
- Add the confectioner's sugar and vanilla and beat for 2 minutes.
- Gently fold in the Cool whip until well combined. Do not overmix!
- Spread cream cheese mixture over completely cooled crust. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, or better, overnight.
- Spread cherry pie filling over top of cream cheese layer just before serving. Cut into squares and serve!

This is another Christmas favorite in my house! I used to have so much fun pressing the cherries onto each cookie when I was younger. These cookies are sweet and delicious, both with and without the nuts! Cook time is if you bake about a dozen at a time.

Steps:
- Mix margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Stir in Karo syrup and egg yolks; mix well.
- Mix in flour.
- Chill.
- Roll into 1 inch balls.
- Dip into slightly beaten egg whites and roll in chopped nuts.
- Place on greased cookie sheets.
- Press candied cherry halves into centers.
- Bake in 325 degree F oven for 20 minutes.
CHERRY DELIGHT
This is my mom's recipe. It is a family requested recipe that she usually makes for Christmas. She's even added green food coloring to the cool whip to give it the festive look.

Steps:
- Melt butter, pour into a 9 x 13 dish add graham cracker crumbs.
- Press in bottom of 9 x 13 forming a crust.
- Bake 350 degrees for 8 10 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar with a mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Pour on top of cooled cracker crust smooth out.
- Pour cans of cherries on top of the cream cheese mixture then top the cherries with cool whip.

This is a great, light dessert. I little bit different than other cherry delight desserts because it uses vanilla wafers instead of graham crackers. For variety, you could also use blueberry or lemon pie filling.

- Mix the graham crackers and margarine together and press into a 13 x9 pyrex dish. (To crush the crackers, you could place them all in a ziploc bag and use a rolling pin. Then add the margarine right to the bag and pour the mixed contents into the dish).
- Blend the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cream cheese. Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust.
- Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Cool and spread the cherry pie filling over cheese mixture. (opt).
- Chill 24 hours (opt).
