This immune-boosting carrot smoothie features classic flavor combinations that go well with carrots like orange, pineapple, and ginger.

2.5 oz carrot (1 large carrot)
0.1 oz ginger (1/3 inch ginger root)
0.1 oz turmeric (1/3 inch turmeric root)
4 fl oz orange juice (1/2 cup juice)
3 oz banana (frozen) (2/3 medium banana)
3 oz pineapple (frozen) (1/2 cup pineapple)
0.1 oz bee pollen powder (1 teaspoon pollen)

Steps:

  • Cold press the oranges to make the orange juice ingredient.
  • Peel the carrots, turmeric, and ginger.
  • Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth, about 1 minute.

I make variations of this carrot smoothie almost every morning. This is my breakfast, but Hubby and the boys have it in addition to their breakfast and they love it. The natural sugars in the fruit allows additional sweetener to be omitted.

2 cups fresh spinach, or to taste
1 cup orange juice
1 carrot, chopped, or more to taste
2 tablespoons vanilla protein powder
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
2 cups frozen blueberries

Steps:

  • Combine spinach, orange juice, carrot, protein powder, and ginger in a blender. Blend, adding frozen blueberries gradually and stirring if needed, until smooth.
