1 1/4 lbs lean ground turkey
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 small egg, lightly beaten
5 hamburger buns
monterey jack cheese or monterey jack pepper cheese, for cheeseburgers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine ground turkey, soup mix, pepper, garlic powder, soy sauce and egg.
  • Put mixture in the refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes, then take it out and shape into patties.
  • Cook on medium-high heat on the barbecue for 20 to 40 minutes.
  • Cook until the inside of the burger is whitish in color.
  • Add the"works"; lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup.

This is a simple and delicious recipe. After making them the first time my husband said 'no more' to beef burgers. These are really good - any cooking method may be used, and they freeze very well. The recipe can also be used for meatballs or meat loaves.

3 pounds ground turkey
¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
¼ cup finely diced onion
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, seasoned bread crumbs, onion, egg whites, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 patties.
  • Cook the patties in a medium skillet over medium heat, turning once, to an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C).

1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8 slices monterey jack cheese
1/2 red bell peppers or 1/2 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut in rings

Steps:

  • Combine first seven ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Shape into 4 patties.
  • Grill over high heat for 15 minutes or until no longer pink in center.
  • Top with cheese during last few minutes of grilling.
  • Grill pepper rings for two minutes.
  • Place burgers on bun, top with pepper rings.

1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 (7/8 ounce) package McCormick® Grill Mates® Classic Burger Steakhouse Burgers Seasoning Mix
4 slices monterey jack cheese
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
1 large tomatoes, sliced
1 medium avocado, peeled, seeded and sliced

Steps:

  • MIX ground turkey, green onions and Seasoning Mix until well blended. Shape into 4 patties.
  • GRILL over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Add cheese to burgers 1 minute before cooking is completed.
  • SERVE burgers on rolls topped with tomato and avocado slices.

  • Heat a cast iron grill pan over high heat. Brush both sides of the burgers with canola oil, then grill for about 7 minutes per side. When you flip the burgers onto the second side, let cook for 2 minutes, then top with Monterey Jack cheese and let it melt while the burgers finish cooking.
  • When the burgers are done cooking, remove them from the grill and let rest while you prepare the avocado spread.
  • To make the avocado spread, place the diced avocado in a bowl along with the mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, and Tapatio. Mash well with a fork until smooth.
