1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme
1 cup converted long-grain white rice
1 medium size onion, sliced
1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter, cut up

Steps:

1. In a medium-size baking dish, combine beef broth, consomme, rice, onion and butter.
2. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans beef consomme
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup uncooked brown rice
3/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan; stir in rice. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.
Add mushrooms; cover and simmer 20 more minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Stir in pepper.
